I may be moaning for the sake of moaning here, but I do feel that anyone who works and cannot listen to the radio has a bit of an un-fair chance of not winning their bill being paid off. I try to listen to the breakfast show and the home time show and that's about it for the working week. Maybe it's just sour grapes upon my part. Maybe I'm just desparate for my bill to be paid. Either way, I doubt it will be paid off now.

Simple rant; stop the chatter with these incessant DJ's and please, please play more music. All you go on about is how good the music is, well please play it and stop the old
regurgitated games and nonsesne that fills my headphones in the morning. I like Christian, but the show needs better music.

Also, sorry Richie...bring back Roque! The show just isn't the same without him.

I text the station a lot, I've got a lot to say. Some even make it to air, makes my day (sad, but true) I always thought that 25p was a bit steep but I was still happy to pay this for the chance of hearing my witty comment being read out on air. The new bosses have screwed up their business plan I fear, 50p per text. Come on, that's a 100 % rise. That's just taking the piss, I feel. Hasn't anyone noticed the reccession or credit crunch? This rise may work in the short term but when people start checking their mobile bills and find a whooping chunk of it is being spent upon text's to 81215 then people will soon stop. Sort it out Absolute! 50p is a bloody disgrace, change it back to 25p and leave it alone.

Play some sodding music mate, we don't want to listen to the mentally insane ring you up and blather on about nothing. I've defended Iain Lee in the past, but not this time. It was just to inane and utter rubbish.

Virgin radio, please, anybody but Iain Lee. Please.

I realise I maybe in a majority of one here, but, I just can't stand the sound of Duffy's voice. It's too shrill on her first record then it's too monotonous on her second. Also, how depressing is her second song? Pass the bloody razor blades! Cheer up girl, it's not that bad. It would appear that Virgin radio will always play her stuff which is a shame for I cannot listen to her breaking my ears anymore. I turn off the radio or leave the room, I've even taken to taking out my head phones when the OC plays her songs.

There, spleen vented.

Yesterday K-man had a under 8's football tournament at Hullbridge. Four round robin games. As I'm assistant coach to his football team I had mooted the point to the manager that K-man had expressed an interest in going in goal. The Manager was impressed as he had planned to use K-man in goal for one of the games. This being ten minutes each way games and having enough subs, he was going to change things around, try different people in different positions.

Anyway, I'd bought K-man some cheap gloves and we were ready. Practice went well and the manager saw that K-man was doing pretty well. 1st game we draw nil nil, but K-man kept out at least three goals, all the parents were so impressed with his performance. 2nd game, K-man played the 1st half in goal kept a clean sheet then the manager subbed him for our usual keeper, we lost 1-0. 3rd game, K-man was back in goal, we won 3-0 again K-man played a blinder! Jumping on everything and kicked an assist to allow us to score the third goal. 4th game, the manager said he's sticking with K-man in goal as he just cannot not play him there. (did you know politics even rears its ugly head in mini soccer? oh yes, the other team had two teams and somehow we played their strongest team twice?!) We lost 3-0 as they were the better side. K-man started to well up when the second goal went in and I didn't want to sub him just because of tears. I spoke to him and even when we scored an OG (own goal) he stayed between the sticks and even stopped the other teams star player scoring a 4th. Very proud of him. He showed great character.

Speaking to our manager, it looks like K-man has ousted our usual keeper and is our Number 1.

COME ON!

p.s. it rained every second we were out there. Four happy hours in the wet. We must be mad?!

Wel, the season is over and after being in the top 50 for all the season (highest position 4th, just out of the money) I had high hopes I would win, no really, I did think I was in with a shout of the big prize. I finished 67th out of 36000 -odd. A moral victory I suppose. I went close on a few occasions on the monthly prize but just wasn't good enough.

Good fun though, if you like that sort of thing.

Well, I'm busy at work, been doing stupid hours like leaving the house at 6am and not leaving work until 7pm. Also on Sunday it was my second Wedding anniversary. We had a low-key day, quite nice with the bank holiday too.

K-man had his football presentation evening on Friday and picked up an award, he was very proud.

Met my sisters new man over the weekend, he seemed very nice, quite humourous and if he makes my sister happy then he's ok in my book.

Thought Cheggers was pretty good on his show, we should have him on more often.

Upon hearing Virgin Radio is fifteen years old, that got me thinking where I was fifteen years ago, way back in 1993. Seems so long ago. First off I was 22 years old, fresh faced and incredibly skinny. Xylophone ribs, you know what I mean? I was working in Docklands when oneone else was working there. Ghost town with one corner shop. The family who ran this must be millionaires by now. I was single, oh, so single. I was dating a women from my office, Miss S. She was Irish and such a laugh, we used to go out and get smashed together. Wind up back at her place (Holloway Road) where she lived with three other Irish ladies. I thought I was the luckiest boy, sleeping in this grand town house in North London with a house full of women, zowie! I was living in a place called Billericay at the time, a nice surburb in Essex, leafy and safe, incredibly dull too. I was living in rented accommodation with a landlady called, Miss T. It was a small two bed semi on an estate, I wa charged about £40 a week rent and I cooked my own meals. I say cook, what I meant to say is put things into the oven to warm them through. I can now of course cook! My job at the time was an Insurance ledger clerk, I was earning about £12K a year and I used to work weekends to supplement this mearge income. I loved working weekends; I used to start early Saturday morning at this huge office in Docklands and had the whole place ot myself, not just the office but I mean Dockllands. There was no other bugger on the Isle of dogs apart from me. I used to order a Pizza at around 5pm, go up to the boardroom and switch on the TV and help myself to the ample drinks cabinet and settle down for the evening. I can't believe now I used to sleep in the office on two sofa's pulled together. Work a full Sunday and head for home at about 4pm.

So, that about glosses over my life in 1993. I confess I hadn't heard of Virgin Radio at this stage, it took me another three years to listen. I balme chasing women, drink, and being young.

Would I go back to era again? Maybe knowing all I know now. Ah, to be 22 again.........

I've had a Cardio-thoracic operation not too long ago (ten inch scar down my chest to prove it) so since then I've been determined to get fit. I've started swmming on a regular basis and visit a gym in the centre of London. I had been swimming for about 40 mins, admittedly begining to cramp up, when loads of women entered from their changing rooms. Nothing strange in that of course, it was time for their water aerobics class. I was just finishing my last punishing length when the instructor asked me if I'd like to stay and join in. Having never tried water aerobics, I thought why not. It was then when one women piped up and said, 'excuse me, but I'd rather 'he' didn't join us. She didn't give a reason, the instructor just gave me a sympathic smile and said sorry. I got out of the pool, gave the ladies a chance to see I was packing a huge erection and grabbed my towel.

Did I look odd, was it my scar that scared her? Did she not want a man jumping to the pointer sisters? How very strange. I was more naked than them (I don't do speedo's by the way, just shorts) Sometimes I wonder about people.

I went to lunch with a friend and his new girlfriend Miss M ,today, he's over the moon with her. Very bubbly, great personality, strange dress sense, but hey, you can't hold that against people. When we sat down in Starbucks, from where I was sitting I noticed Miss M wasn't wearing a bra, no great shakes in that, I go around bra-less all the time. As the lunch went on, Miss M leaned over and her blouse kinda fell wide open and hidden from my friend, I was presented with both breasts with both nipples piecered. I told myself to hold eye contact with her and carried on the conversation. Still in my line of vision were her naked breasts. Being red-blooded, I had a quick look, as anyone would do. Miss M excused herself from the table and my mate asked; 'Well, what do you think?' 'Very nice' I replied.

We said our good byes and I came back to work. Should I tell him, should I tell her the next time I see her. Do I avoid them both like the plague?

Do you think she knew her blouse was un-buttoned or just didn't care?

Anyway, I pleased from my mate, he's been single way too long, he was starting to look at stray dogs a little too fondly.

Car Craft rang me on sunday morning trying to fathom out what I intended to do regarding the whole Sueing business. I could sense they were worried, so I chanced my arm and drove a hard deal on another car. Four years newer than the Golf, 2 year longer warranty, big discount and a low rate (5.7%) They tried to rally with this deal is only good for Sunday only and expected me to drop everything to sign the papers. I had plans on Sunday, so I made it quite clear I would pop along next Saturday to pick up the car in my own time. They tried a few 'salesman's tricks upon me' i.e. Giving me ten minutes to mull over the deal, then ringing me back only after two minutes to inform me 'sir, people are already looking at your car' Boll*cks mate! Then they tried to pick me up from my home to drive me to their store, no thank you! They also tried to entice me with a low weekly repayment figure which included a deposit of a thousand pounds. First I heard of that. I'm not putting down a thousand pounds pal! They did however ask if they cut me this deal, would all litigation stop. I think I had them on the ropes.

Salesman, don't believe a word they say. It's all just sales speak and they think we don't know it. The guy I was speaking to was having a two conversation with me and his sales manager, the manger thought I couldn't hear him telling the poor sap what to say to me next.

Anyway, I'm happy with my new choice (Ford Focus by the way) and happy with me deal. Just if you want a car, do not buy from CAR CRAFT.

You have been warned.

It seems my luck has run out. I part exchanged my car last week with Car craft at Lakeside and it was taking so long to process I had to leave without my VW Golf as My Son had School the nexy day. They rang me on Tuesday to say the finance is agreed and sorted please come down and pick up the car. I explained I work and couldn't pick the car up until Saturday afternoon. I arrive today at 3pm and no one wants to talk to me, finally I complain loudly enough and the tell me the car I'd put a deposit on (actual money had been taken here) had been sold on Wedenesday. To say I pissed off is an understatement! They ushered out some manager who tried to placate me. Wanker. What seems to have happened is they were all trying to blame their general manager who happens to have been taken ill this morning took off my name against me car and decided to sell it on Wednesday. They already had the bloody thing sold to me, I'd put money down and agreed a good price for it. I'd even arranged my car insurance on it to start midnight yesterday. (I'm very organised) I do think that as I told them I couldn't pick it up until saturday then thought well sod you mate and sold it anyway. The funny thing is when I went looking for the salesman who sold it to me last Sunday, they gave me two shadows in case I kicked off. I am 6'5 tall and mightily pissed off and as you can see from my picture, looks don't matter to me. The thing was though the two shadows didn't look upto much and when I looked at them they bricked it. God, I must be so scary!!!!!

Anyway, just to let you guys now from my experience; do not buy a car from car craft or we buy any car . com

I'm going to sue them for breach of consumer rights. They had no right to sell they car to some one else as it was already sold to me, the contract had been closed as money had crossed accounts.

WANKERS. See, I'm still quite agitated by this. I'm not a violent man at all, more gentle giant, thats me. But; did I want to chin a few of those greasy smary sales wankers. All fake tan and stupid haircuts.
