Just got back from paris... it was awesome!! i had a great time and made some brilliant new friends... very very tired tho so night night my darlings and i hope that you have enjoyed the weekend!! =D

A strange few days have passed. Had a great time on sunday except for about half an hour where me and a friend were fighting (not physically - thats bad) for my friends honour lol. Plus another argument revolving around my friend´s housmates rudeness. I do not tolerate rudeness, there is absolutely no need for it. Aside from that a brilliant sunday. We tried to take alot of pictures but it didnt work. Maybe it was the alcohol or maybe its just cos we couldnt keep still with the likes of Ghostbusters and Thriller playing but every single pic was blurred. Signs of a good night i think. I ended up rolling in on monday morning around 11.30. Awesome. Just trying to get my head around the many things ive got to do before next week. Going to Paris next weekend, which should be very enjoyable. Then on to Barcelona and Brussels... the joys of business eh? I need to relax a little so im gonna get a cuppa and watch a film. Hope everyones alright and enjoying themselves. Feel free to stop by if you fancy a chat. Oh and by the way i do speak spanish if anyone fancies a spanish chat lol.

What a weekend...!!

You know youve had a great weekend when you can say that and it isnt over yet! Technically my weekend started on thursday, last exam - went well methinks - and so at 11am when it was over we went to The Pub, yep thats its name lol. Then we went across the road to another bar at 12 and stayed there until 6. I had plenty tequila and rolled home in a jolly mood. I celebrated with RHCP and Nirvana. Then Friday night was my mates leaving do. Hes off to China for a year of teaching which will be a fantastic opportunity for him. also many more beverages.... saturday was my day of rest tho im in pain. All that dancing can cause serious damage lol but if youre not in pain i say you didnt dance hard enough!! Currently preparing myself for yet another pub crawl on sunday night, staying up all night playing xbox 360 and then having a barbeque on monday... dunno wat to eat tho apart from alot of vegetables... hmmm... anywhom i hope everyone has had a brilliant weekend so far and long live the joy and prosperity!!

My last exam is tomorrow and im so excited! I dont know much about what im supposed to be tested on apart from trying to teach monkeys how to talk but who cares!! its the last exam!

Life is incredible right now and all for the wrong reasons. Theres alot to be stressed about but i cant complain because i have so much to be happy about! I have a great family (now we all get along lol), the most incredible and supportive friends who always remind me how great i am lmao, beautiful music and beautiful guitars. i really couldnt ask for much more. Send me to an abandoned desert island with a guitar and about 5kg of ground black pepper and i'll be happy. Though it would need to have a lot of fruit and veg... im vegetarian you see.... but anyway the point is no matter what is going on in life you cant dwell on the bad things while there are still things to be so happy about. Embrace all those little things like waking up and enjoying a coffee or frappaccino that is better than sex or hearing your favourite song and being able to dance like no ones watching because no one is........ lol..... Spread your happiness and love fiercely and enjoy everyday where theres still one thing to smile at and smile from your heart. And take that as advice you who pm'd me =D

This week is getting better everyday. I have to share one of many highlights with you.... Back in the day (makes me sound like i was a munchkin but im only going back about 5 years) i used to be in the theatre, which i miss dearly and need to go back. Anywho, the point is im used to meeting famous people and so i dont get starstruck... However, i was on the phone to my mummy yesterday trying to explain to her why getting a msg from Geoff on Facebook sent me into complete girly shock.

She knows of him from when i used to make her listen to Pete and Geoff in the morning but couldnt stop saying 'But Soph, he only does the radio... you had a long conversation with Johnny Depp and Kevin Spacey... you didnt seem this excited back then... and all those music people you like.... you've met alot of them... Soph... are you alright?... is something else going on...?' LOL Bless her.

Gonna spend this VIPOTD filled day by learning to play some Steve Vai and Welcome to the Jungle. Thanking you kindly for all the shouts my darlings!! Have a goodun =D

After revising for two days straight and er only seeing the notes for the first time a grand total of two days ago (bad i know) i took the exam today and it was awesome!! There was one tiny question i didn’t
know and it was only worth about 8% so i am very happy indeed.

Ive celebrated by getting my guitar out plus all the trimmings. My housemates got to enjoy two hours of gay bar, seven nation army, suck my kiss, even flow, sweet child of mine and t.n.t lol. What an extravagant event!! Hows all my Vips this fine evening?? Plus any suggestions on what songs to learn on my guitar will be greatly appreciated!

Well i felt quite happy on the way to my exam mainly because i had my music. I had the joys of Rodrigo y Gabriela and Jimi Hendrix to settle me along the way. By the way theres something about All Along the Watchtower that will always warm my heart. Everytime i hear it i feel overwhelmed. The way he plays...... wow. Anywhom, when the exam started i started to feel really sleepy, which was rubbish because i really couldnt be arsed to read all the questions. Some of them were just too long and complicated and after 7 hours of sleep full of nightmares i didnt have the will. This subject is definately my weak point and no matter how hard i try i cant learn what they want me to!! Lemme plague you with an example:

53. Which of these statements are correct?

a) Graceful degradation in neural networks exactly mimics the aging process in humans.

b) Brain damaged patients are often completely unable to perform one task while they are unaffected on another. Graceful degradation enables neural networks to perform in the same way.

c) When damaged the performance of neural networks and human brains degrade in a qualitatively different way.

d) Graceful degradation is a property exhibited by both human brains and neural networks.

The answer? Who knows!! By this point I could barely read anymore and just decided to hurry up and battle through so i could get out as soon as possible. However, as you will soon find out its hard to ruin my mood and so im still happy as can be and have begun to obsess over a chosen few songs. My new poison consists of Rodrigo y Gabriela - Captain Cassanova, RHCP - Suck My Kiss and Guns N Roses - Welcome to the Jungle. This is partly due to my Guitar Hero love. That game is so much fun... especially cos it means i get to spend more time with my brother.... awwww.... We have some super X Box 360 battles.

Anywho I hope everyone is in an absolutely brilliant mood, as i am but if not pass by my way and i shall make it all better!! =D

Ok right now its 10.21 am in my part of the world and i have my exam at 2pm. I'm a little stressed and nervous as its about cognitive neuroscience and believe me when i say that is not one of my strengths!!! I dont believe studying psychology should include that... its not fair :( However it is all multiple choice so i cant complain too much. Breakfast time methinks. I hope everyone is having a much better start to the day and if not then get the music on and rock out till you do!!!

Making the effort to actually write my first blog despite being a VIP for nearly a year.. it could be more than that to be honest... yeah the shame...Anywho I'm in surprisingly sunny Manchester at the mo. I have an exam tomorrow but am finding it hard to revise because i love music and my guitars more than anything else ever!! Is it just me or do other people find they cant concentrate when music is on because they go on an epic fantasy about them playing that song live or just trying to think about the chords/notes/picking technique needed to play that song??? I'm obsessing over White Stripes, AC/DC and Santana at the moment but im a bit worried that ive messed my fingers up for life. All that knuckle cracking has come back to haunt me.... Anyway thats my problem right now as well as not being able to see properly because my contacts are rubbish. Either way after next thursday all my exams will be over and i will be free to return to my lovely london life!!
