A little old lady from Wisconsin had worked in and around her family's dairy farms since she was old enough to walk, with hours of hard work and little compensation.
When canned Carnation Milk became available in grocery stores in the 1940s, she read an advertisement offering $5,000 for the best slogan. The producers wanted a rhyme beginning with 'Carnation Milk is best of all.'
She thought to herself, I know all about milk and dairy farms. I can do this!

I would also like to thank Lisa for the link info - Although I was able to watch the Prem games on TV here - we see lots of games that are not on TV in UK. !!

Sadly Al, ICT lost 2-1 against St Mirren - maybe next week we will win. lol But Arsenal had a great win against Blackburn, 4-0 final score, so not all bad news lol

Thank you all so much for the shouts, PM's and emails that you sent me - I shall try and reply as soon as I can.

No excuses for the long leave of absense, just felt really dis-gruntled lately, but better now.!!

Was also over in Kos for a few days renewing visas and extending insurance on our car. Spent a few days in Bodrm either side of our trip Kos too so felt like I was on a mini-break really.!!!

Hope you have all been well and I look forward to catching up with you soon.

Hiya,

I am not long back from the town, Nigel has gone back to Bulgaria for a couple of days on business so I am "Holding the Fort".

I decided to talk a "stroll" which was more like a "Power Walk" into the town and post my mum a package. The walk into town is mostly downhill, which wasn;t so bad - took half an hour, then I walked into the town centre and en-route I passed a road-side trader setting up his fruit stall do I stopped and bought a kilo of fresh figs-they are so sweet and juicy. Then I popped into a few more shops on the way home to get supplies and finally arrived home 2 hrs later - in dire need of a cold shower and now I have sore feet so time to sit back and relax, watch more olympics and "chat" to my mates.

Thank-you SO much for all the lovely shouts and comments "you" left wishing me well again. Thankfully I am sooooo much better now - I have not the slightest idea what/how I did it, but I do know that I didn't overdo the exercises or even do them wrong - I have been using a gym for years - I think it may have been a trapped nerve but on the bright side, I am much better and able to resume "normal" duties - like reply to ALL you guys who kindly left me shouts, I shall get back to you all as soon as I can.
