There are some songs that makes me thrill. I listen to the first melody and I feel an unexplainable feeling of joy or any other feeling I can´t really say to you guys. I´m telling all these things just to say that I feel this everytime I listen to 'Sail Away' by David Gray.

It reminds me of my teenage years watching the video from this song on tv and all the things I was living back in that time...so everytime I listen here on Absolute I feel like singing out loud so that everybody can hear (even here at work, in the teacher´s room).

Is there any song that has the same effect on you, VIP friends?

it´s been weeks since i spent some time here in this space, but it´s all due to my work time...i´ve been working too much and the free time i have, i sleep,lol.

Carnival Post

So it´s Carnival here...don´t like it that much except from the holiday part...5 days off from workand that´s just amazing when you want to relax...for the ones that like parties it´s just great coz u can find it in every single part of this city...for the ones who like to go to costume parties, watch the parade on tv or pubs with alternative programme for the ones who hate carnival (dunno why).

2009 actually begins, for us brazilians, after Carnival...so let me enjoy part my days off...gotta rest, relax and watch tv

First Certificate in English

Hello my friends! First of all I wanna say how much I missed you here...these past couple of days were kinda busy for me since I came back from a wonderful trip and started working on the next day, hehe.

The reason I´m bloggin is to share with you this happiness. Last month I did an exam from Cambridge Esol, those proficiecy exams you have to prove you speak, listen, read and write in english. Although this one is called "First Certificate in English- FCE" I have another 4, three from a Teacher Knowledge Test and one from a Preliminary English Test - Pet.

I was so afraid because from FCE on you have grades ( A, B, C) and you can fail (D, E). I studied hard with my students, friends from work and last month I did the exam in two days and today I got the results...

I passed and with a "B"!!! 76 out of 100!!!

I´m so happy I can´t even think! My friends, my family, God, my students...everybody, thank you very much...and there´s a lot to improve, this is just the first step!

Here comes 2009!

How was 2008 for you?For me it was quite nice. I got a job in a place that is considered to be the best english school here, got a tattoo, travelled to the countryside many times, went out with some friends, met new people here who i have so much respect and love( bibi, fernando, nigel, monica) and also i received so much love from my students that i felt really proud of my profession.

I hope 2009 can be much better once I´m planning a trip to Argentina on July and probably Europe in 2010...health to my family and friends...anyway, all the good things to all of us!

I´m so happy I´ll start 2009 in Rio, gonna see my grandma (last time I saw her I was 8), spend some time at the beach and sure i´ll have fun for all of us, lol!

Lots of love, success, peace, health, hope and harmony to u in 2009 - i mean, to us!

Christmas is coming!

So today I realised Christmas is coming...and so is coming 2009. So I took a look at my Dvd's and found "Meet me in St Louis" an excellent film from 1946 by Vicente Minelli which stars my wonderful Judy Garland...is such a nice Christmas film...I so recommend all u guys to watch this film, it's beautiful and funny as well.

I'm gonna travel do Rio in January so I'm looking forward to it while I still have to work till this saturday...anyway...if I don't come back till Christmas, may u all have an amazing Christmas eve

Well I´ve just bought the album. Didn´t want to check the songs either on youtube or either on the radio (but I must confess I listened "The shock of lightening" here on absolute), because I wanted to buy the album and listen to it alone at home to analyse it and it´s so so so great, awesome! I didn´t like the previous one so I was really looking forward to this one and I really liked...I can´t even say which one is my favourite coz everytime I listen to it I have a new one, lol.

Today my favourite is 'I´m outta time', such a great tune.

Anyway, these words are only a fan´s one...I like them since I was 12 years old and it´s impossible to talk about them without this passion

Why do we insist on a situation even when we know that thing wont end up well? Why sometimes we follow our heart ( or should i say, our impulsiveness?) instead of think a little bit more??? Sometimes I keep asking myself that kind of things...of course I´m not a perfect human being and bad things happen anyway...when it´s done, it´s done.

"bad nights lead to better days, it never happens but i think about it anyway!" - ryan adams, so perfect these lines!

Anyway, talking about him, his new album with the Cardinals was released last week and I´m so anxious to have mine at home ( I bought it but it´ll take ages to arrive once I live here, in the forest, lol)

Hello VIPs!!!How are you? Hope u´re all fine as I am.

Let me tell you smth: 2 years ago a very close friend of mine died and I was terribly sorry for that, he was really important to me...sometimes I dream about him but it´s always so sad but this time it was so nice coz it´s been a while since I dont think about him anymore, specially these days I didnt even mentioned his name and surprisingly I dreamed about him and it was so nice! He was so happy telling me he was happy and wanted me to be happy too...I had a great time in my dream!

Anyway, I woke up smiling and it´s so nice to remember of it...friendships, and why not say love, is forever,

don´t you think?

Sunday sunny and rainy and sunny again Sunday, Lol

Hello people, how are you? Today we had elections here, to choose our mayor... Here we´re obliged to vote and if we don´t we can´t get a job or a visa, passport i.e. we can´t do anything . So even though we don´t have very good options, we went there to vote.

Here in North of Brazil (where I live) is summer but today was tipically the definition of "tropical weather": the whole afternoon was a mix of sun and rain every 30 min...i can imagine the ones who decided to vote during this period!

I´m pretty well these days, a bit anxious about my post graduation classes that start tomorrow, it´s been a year since I majored in Business Administration and I kinda miss to study (I´m nerd, I love to study) once I´ve been teaching, I miss being a student,haha.

Things seem to be nice now but I don´t really want to think about that and try to be less worried about things/people and live. Maybe it´s the right choice.

Speaking about Absolute Radio I really liked the variety of songs and also the site...I´ve already said here I love purple!
