The best albums ever

One day, I was talking with a great friend of mine and I asked her best albums ever... she started to say Fergie, MF Doom, Il Divo, etc... I stopped for a second and said to me in silence, she must be kidding, but not, sad but true.

It makes me think the best 10 albums ever for me, so here's my list:

1.- "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band"--The Beatles
2. "Moving Pictures"--Rush
3. "Dark Side of the Moon"--Pink Floyd
4. "Laid"--James
5. "Physical Grafitti"--Led Zeppelin
6. "Definiteively Maybe" --Oasis

8. "Mass Romantic"--The New Pornographers
9. "Antics"--Interpol
10. "Us"--Peter Gabriel

Those songs that take you to other places...

I belive that many songs transport us to other cities, places, make us remind people or situations.

Yesterday I was listening an old album of Annie Lennox named Medusa, it's a cover songs album and when I listened to Downtown Lights (I think it's a Rod Stewart song) remind me when I visited NYC back in 1997, It was a hot summer but some day in the afternoon started to rain, immediately I remembered this song.

I'm a big fan of Oasis, in 2001 I was in London and getting out of the underground in Piccadily Circus there was this song named "half the world away" spinning in my mind, I started to cry when I was there as it was exactly as I imagened....

Music is the best thing ever invented, I really can imagine a single day without listen something, discover any new or just remember those songs that make me happy or change my mood....

Here's is the Lollapalooza line up (this is a large festival in America, it takes place in Chicago, log on into www.lollapalooza.com), make your top 10 list of the bands that you would like to see -no matter the order, and no matter if you're not attending it-

Here I go:

1.- INTERPOL (will be the second time, the first one back in September 2005 in México City)
2.- DAFT PUNK
3.- MUSE (also the second time here in México, the first one in April 2006)
4.- TV ON THE RADIO
5.- !!! (Chick, chick, chick)
6.- SILVERSUN PICKUPS
7.- BLOND READHEAD
8.- THE FRATELLIS
9.- COLD WARD KIDS
10.- PEARL JAM

I think many of this bands are not well known in The U.K. or Europe, but if you have the opportunity of listening some of them, I belive you'll find some interesting projects.
