Hey kids! Not loads to catch anybody up on...

Boy does the site look funky!

Apparently I'm almost super smart. My lowest mark of the year so far is an 84% on a math *barf* test. :D It's getting a little overwhelming though, and my motivation is dropping. I'll need to pull my socks up and get back in the game, but it's a bit of a challenge.

Still not driving, however all the paperwork is done, and has been faxed to the ministry of transport. Right now, I'm waiting on them to make a decision and get back to me. 2-6 weeks to make a ruling, they say.

Catch me up on you.... that's always more interesting than reading my Eeyore-toned drivel :P

♥

Looks like there's been a lot of change everywhere!

I finished at my job 2 weeks later than expected - a lot of the girls that wouldn't help me out when I was sick realized that they'd have to do the night shifts in my absence and decided they'd rather quit than work the night shift, so I got an extra paycheck, and an extra two weeks of B.S. It will be a full month on the 17th since I've been there, and I'm still not sure whether I'll want to go back in a different position or not. From what I hear, there's been all kinds of dramatics since I've been gone, and some people actually miss good old reliable me.

I started college last week, 2 days after being in an SUV vs. tractor trailer accident on the freeway - boy did I get looks! (Seems I can never start at that school without being covered in bruises for the first day... last time I was taking classes there was 3 days after having my wisdom teeth extracted in the OR. WOOT) Classes are going well.. REALLY enjoying biology and chemistry.

Still not driving, but I finally have an appointment with the neurologist on the 29th of this month... maybe I won't have to take the bus to school any more.

Cross your fingers!

How have you all been?? How's the music been since the change?

I've missed you all, but for the past few months it's been gloomsville around here, and I didn't want to subject you guys to it ♥

Oh.. HAPPY FRIDAY!

Hello my sweet things!

I'm totally UNexcited to be back at work, but glad to be awake so I can get my O.C. fix, and check in on all of you lovely people.

I survived all that the cardiologist had to throw at me, and now I wait rather (im)patiently for my referral to the neurologist... not sure how long that will be.

Hubby is driving me to and from work, rather unhappily. I means extra time awake and 2 extra hours of driving for him each day, but he's doing it for me. :)

How was your weeek and weekend?

I spent mine with my parents at a music festival (www.sarniabayfest.com). My birthday was spent quietly with some good chinese, a few drinks, and some movies.

♥

Hello my lovelies!

I didn't intend to be away for so long, but life has been busy. Sorry. I hope you're all well. ♥

I saw the cardiologist on Friday. My echo was good and my stress test was super - I didn't realize how much I missed my treadmill until I got on the fancy-pants one in his office.

He told me it could be 3 months before I get my drivers permit back... Looks like hubby will be driving me to work and back for the last month of my contract.

This afternoon I pick up the holter monitor for a day, and heopfully get some info on my neurologist appointments (still don't know when).

Tomorrow my mum and daddy arrive for 3 or 4 days. I haven't seen them since Christmas, and this is the first time I'll have seen them on my birthday in years. I can't wait!

So, if things get busy and I don't get back on before the weekend, have a very lovely one. I really appreciate you wonderful people letting me vent, and sharing some advice with me. Once I get back to work, I'll be around more and able to return the favour.

♥♥♥

Monday is nearly over and the picture is getting a bit clearer.

I went to doctors appointment 1 of 7 today... My own GP. He still has no info from the ER on Thursday, and worse yet, none from the walk-in clinic on the 18th :(

In his own opinion today, he cleared me as healthy enough to return to work, and Rx'd me some Pariet for my wicked nasty heart burn (hurrah stressin'!). He told me that he felt the ER doc over reacted, and he was sorry, but I would have to play his game to get my permit back. He doesn't think it will be all that tough to do. As my bp is slowly getting back to normal, and he's convinced it's exhaustion I've been fighting.

In his words: "One faint doesn't make you a hazard on the road, just like having one pint in the pub doesn't make you a raging alcoholic." Well said Doctor C... well said.

I see the cardiologist on Friday, and next week I have appointments for ultrasounds and to be hooked up to a holter monitor for a day.

AND THEN, regardless of anything else that's happening, my parents arrive from up North for an outdoor festival (sarniabayfest.com) on the 9th.

Tomorrow is Canada Day, so will be looking forward to going to the fireworks with the boys, and generally lazing about tomorrow, maybe actually getting at the sewing projects that I've had lined up for a year...

Sorry I've been such a bummer lately guys. Just smack me next time. ♥

Well.. going to the ER turned out to be a bad thing... Because I blacked out last week, the doctor I saw felt the need to pull my drivers permit until I'm cleared by a cardiologist.

If I may say so here.. FUCK.

This could mean losing my job, as it states in my contract that I must maintain a valid drivers permit to keep my job.

Today we did blood work, urine sample, EKG and chest xray... all in the good.

I guess i just have to wait for my referral to this caridologist so I can get my life back.

:(

How was YOUR day?

Thank you, naughty boys for your offers of examinations :P The giggles were much needed.

I DID get through to the office this morning (finally), and the soonest they can see me is Monday now...and that was after pleading and arguing with the nurse/receptionist.

For those of you who suggested going to the hospital, our average wait time here is between three and seven hours. I worked all night, and nobody is willing to work for me tonite, so I really can't afford to go that short on sleep, especially when still being tired is one of my chief complaints.

I guess I wait until Monday, and try to work through the spins and nausea.

Hey guys and gals..

How was your week? Mine wasn't so hot. I went in for my shift at work Tuesday night at 11pm, and by 2:30am, I was on the way home, trying to talk hubby out of taking me to the ER :(.

I passed out. Blah. I've never done that before.

Seeing as I work alone, I wasn't allowed to go back to work until I saw a doctor, so I spent a LOT of time in the walk-in clinic on Wednesday. The doctor at the clinic seems to think that my BP dropped, but really didn't want to investigate why short of "you must be really tired" (we talked about my job, and the load I'm carrying away from work) and "you need to drink more water."

I go back to work on Sunday night, and I'm a bit leary of it.. I haven't admitted to anyone else yet, but I'm still dizzy now and then, and even though I've been off work and sleeping loads, I'm still REALLY tired all the time.

Guess I'll just keep an eye on it for now. : /

Aaaaand here comes a storm, so off I go.

Hi everyone!

I was hoping to log in at work and catch up with you all, and tune in to my favourite breakfast show, but sadly, someone nearly murdered the computer at work, so instead my night was spent fixing the bugger (the computer, not the culprit, sadly). No VIPS or OC for me :(

On a happy note though, I went and dropped off two more chapters of chemistry at the adult learning centre this morning, and was over the moon with the marks for the last four chapters! I'm averaging about 87% so far. Here's to hoping I can keep it up! I was expecting to be stuck and lost again, but I guess third time's the charm.

A rather tame one for you this morning.. Chocolate, or vanilla?

Hopefully everyone had a fab weekend! ♥

Happy Friday VIPs!

4 1/2 hours to go and work, and then I'm done for the weekend!

Normally, there are loads of things that I plan on doing with my time off, but this weekend, I plan to do as little as possible..

What do you like to do when you do "nothing at all"?

I'm loving all the "my dad taught/told me" texts that Christian is reading... and he read mine. This is becoming a daily thing. Perhaps that means I should be sitting at the other desk and concentrating on my chemistry instead of here at the computer..

(Alright, I admit it, I've got a wee bit of a swoon for the OC)

Anyone headed to the IOW Festival?
