Having recently heard the Verve's new single and firstly thinking it was Neil Diamond, I was then surprised to hear The Last Shadow Puppets new single and thinking it was maybe someone from the 60's like the Hollies.

Getting Older

Have just spent the day recovering from Hubbys birthday yesterday.

We both had the day off work and spent the day and evening with various friends.

What gets me is how long it takes to recover. I have not been able to function properly ALL day.

What happended to the days when I could go all weekend and STILL get up for work on a Monday???

MCR - Your Opinions ?One story thats causing a 'storm' at the moment is music related murder and suicide . This topic has a history where various bands and singers and their music have been blamed for murder , abuse , bullying , animal cruelty , drug abuse and suicide . I do have sympathy with the families who have lost loved ones but is the music really to blame .This band is being slated something terrible for what I personally believe isnt their fault . I understand families need a reason when things like this happen couldnt it be they didnt pay enough attention to loved ones and see they had problems ?. If this is the case that MCR are to blame for the suicide shouldnt the death toll be much higher ?

This too made me angry. There was an incident a couple of years ago reported in the Daily Mail that linked MCR's music to suicide. I can honestly say that I have never got that impression from listening to MCR's music. Yes there is a fascination with some teenagers with self harm and we've all heard the EMO jokes suggesting that they are sad about everything. But to be honest - what the hell has any kid got to be happy about now days. What real propects do most of them have in this shit society. I'm 42 and have two teenage daughters, one of whom has listened to MCR for about 4 years. I can hand on heart say I'd rather her listen to them than a lot of RAP music which I think glorifies violence. There is a planned march on the Daily Mail offices this weekend nme.com and this shows to me how passionate kids are about their music and I wish you all a brilliant day. Show all the doubters that you don't all hide away in dark corners cutting yourselves and contemplating suicide. Show them what passion is. Show them they are WRONG!!!

Ex-friends of my other half came to lodge with us cos they got evicted and well and truly took the piss.....

The final straw came when I heard her slagging me off behind my back saying that I was only putting them up to get something out of it??? Yeah right!

Because she'd have a bath first and then he'd jump in her water AND because I knew she use a green scourer to exfoliate ( ehhh?)

Can you guess what I did the next time she ran a bath??

Yeah I pissed in it......

but shes gone for two weeks this time

and I'm missing her like crazy.

Trouble is I think she may end up moving out

there cos she loves it so much

I know shes 19 and I love that she does so much

with her life already

but I just want her home again.

Just want to get in and wish everyone a Happy Easter because I may not be able to get on much over the bank holiday because the kids seem to think they take precedence. Well dont they always.

Cant remember that song

I woke up 4 mornings ago with the words of a song going through my mind??

Could only remember a couple of lines of the song.

It has been driving me absolutely MAD.

I searched through my PC and my MP3 player knowing that I had actually played the song and not just heard it on the radio.

Still no joy.

I googled it - no luck just a link to someones Live Journal that had the words in their screen namce.

In the end I ended up emailing the above person to put me out of my misery.

Oh of course it is, shoulda known that!!

What bugs me though is why on earth I just didn't ask you lovely lot 4 days ago......
