Most overplayed song on Absolute?

I've been thinking about this over the past few days.

Now don't get me wrong, I think Absolute is far, far better than Virgin was. However, there are still certain songs that seem to get played at 9:55am, once during the NRG, 5:05pm, and again during ----day Night Live.

So, in your opinions, which songs do you really hear far too many times?

My nominees:

Kings of Leon' Use Somebody - Its a great song, but I seem to hear it every time I switch the radio on (and I only listen to Absolute)

Elbow's One Day Like This - This one isn't helped by the fact I can't stand this song, but I seem to hear this all too often as well.

The Killers' Spaceman - Not as bad as the dreadful "Human" (no idea why that gets played at all), but would still like to hear less of this song, and indeed this band.

Other suspects would be "Kids" by MGMT and "The Fear" by Lily Allen - now I actually like both of these, but in moderation please! U2's "Magnificent" is well on the way to joining the overplayed list, whilst, as said on Wluka's blog the other day Snow Patrol's "Crack the Shutters" has been on Absolute's 'A-list' for far, far too long now. "If There's a Rocket, Tie Me to It" deserves far more airtime than its predecessor single.

Again, let me be clear. I love what's been done to the station - the scheduling is good for me (I listen to the OC as often as I can, Geoff as much as possible and Iain Lee almost religiously thanks to the current schedule, whilst the shows devoted to one genre - Absolute 80s for example - are in a time-slot where I can put some of my own music on (I like a bit of 80s music, such as Duran Duran, but not that much)), the playlist is far more diverse than the days when "Chasing Cars" would be played every hour without fail, and the new management seem to engage far more with the listeners. This blog is simply a discussion on which songs are played a little too much, and what perhaps what isn't played enough too.

So, we've all done polls for "who is the best Beatle", so its time for one that's slightly different.

Who is the best relative (doesn't have to be blood relations, I 'spose) of a Beatle (who is also a musician)?

John - we've got Julian, his son with Cynthia Powell, Yoko Ono his wife, and Sean, his son with Yoko.

Paul - we've got Linda, and we've got Mike McGear (stage name, born Michael McCartney), his brother and leader of The Scaffold.

George - Dhani, his son with Olivia Arias.

Ringo - Zak, his son with Maureen Cox, who played with Oasis and The Who, as well as his father's own All-Starr Band.

Right, now decide for yourself. Personally, I'm gonna say Zak.

Songs that have something about poetry - yes, poetry - in the title (I'll bet this one doesn't get a lot of response).

My one: "Sonnet" by The Verve.

Songs about revolting
