....Wraps up his European tour tomorrow, with a stop in Birmingham, and my question is...

how many people here have heard of Sam Roberts? I was introduced to him (literally) when i was in High School - he was an alumnus coming back for the Arts Festival. I've been a huge fan of his ever since.

His new album is admittably not his best... but i'm surprised more people have no idea who he is. Do yourself a favour, and search youtube for "Brother Down" or "Bridge to Nowhere" - I can virtually guarantee you'll enjoy it

I know this is a long shot, but would anyone happen to know the name of a certain song played on Tonight's Geoff Show, at about 9:50, Between 'Love it When You Call' and 'Somebody Told Me', which were both listed on the 'We've Just Played'

The song is very Indie-Garage Rock, reminiscent of The Fratellis, I believe the chorus had something to do with Skag boys and 'the best you've ever had'

Anyone?

A friend of mine from Scotland recently came to visit me and brought with her a delicious drink called 'Irn Bru'... I understand it's very popular there. there's only one store i've found in the entire city of Montreal that sells it, though, and I regularly buy out their entire stock :p

Speaking of which.... I'm off to buy some Irn Bru! The store also sells various sweets from the UK and Ireland... so what are your favourite British sweets, so that i can buy some to try them out?

For about three weeks I've been unable to fall asleep; Although i'll go to bed at 11 or 12, it'll be another two or three hours before i can fall asleep - this is pretty inconvienent, and it's having a detrimental effect on pretty much everything.

does anyone else have a similar condition, and does anyone know how one can go about falling asleep?

any help would be great!

Favourite songs you can't listen to anymore

Has there ever been a song that you really liked, and listened to frequently, only to later become unable to listen it, either because you'd come to realization that the song was actually rather awful, or because you no longer had any reason to like the song?

I, for one, used to really, really like 'Iris', by the Goo Goo Dolls. I still consider it a brilliant song, but my real reason for liking it was always that my (then) girlfriend would sing it to me, and now i simply can't bear to hear it.

The Fratellis North American Dates

I was very disappointed when i discovered, much to my dismay, that the Fratellis have yet to schedule an extensive North American Tour. They've a few shows during an international tour and they've several West Coast dates - but us East Coast fans get only two dates, both in NYC, which unfortunatly i cannot make :(

Here's to hoping the Fratellis announce an extensive east coast tour, preferably with a stop in Montreal ;-)
