Wow... what a time for my computer to have a fit... sorry for the amount of incomplete blog posts - and the delay in deleting them - what can i say, i blame Mr Gates!

Anyway where was i? oh yes...

I dont think i was wrong with my list of all time greats... and i think this mornings results backed me up... Rolf Harris truely is a musical genius, and shall forever be held in the hall of fame along side Queen, the Beatles and Timmy Mallett...

I think i prefer Rolf's version of I Touch Myself i have to be honest

Difficult Decision

Well i have had to work quite hard to make a good decision for this weeks winner of the Bakeri Avatar Award (yes i have gone to weekly - mainly because i am ill quite a bit at the moment and dont get online)

The winner this week has got a genuinely awesome Avatar, even if it is still at the old smaller sizes... the standard is high all over the VIPosphere, but this made me laugh - and thats always good...

... I say Badge... there is no badge - but oh well...

Now Layla2 may not have been around much - infact she was last seen over a year ago, after coming on, registering, and disappearing without a trace... but the thing is, we are not here to judge peole based on their activity... no... we judge people purely on their Avatar... or at least i do!

That is why Layla2 joins the hall of fame (ok i havent made the hall of fame yet - but it's coming i promise!) as a worthy winner of the Bakeri Avatar Award for Absolute Avatar Brilliance! I have done it... i have found the good thing about having children!!

I have just had a lovely week off work because i jumped on the excuse that it was my Girlfriends child's half-term holiday... and it was the smartest move i've ever made!!

It was a good length, long enough to chill, and enjoy not having to get up, or shave... but not so long that i resented going to work this morning... Maybe the future of employment is to alternate, one week working, one week at home - now i just need to find a boss that will let me do it on full pay!

It is Friday, the weekend starts here... but before we all run away theres just time for one last Bakeri Avatar Award! Since the VIP are is what we make it, I think it's only fair that those members of our community that make the place brighter and more entertaining with their pictures get recognised... its a mad crazy idea i know, but with Dave AKA Nastyman's blog ( http://www.absoluteradio.co.uk/vip/profile/nastyman/blog/94619/Outstanding_Contributor.html ) about a lack of Outstanding Contributor Awards being handed out, and with my re introduction of my Avatar Awards (see last blog http://www.absoluteradio.co.uk/vip/profile/bakeri666/blog/94594/Absolutely_All_About_Awards.html ) i was thinking... maybe we should be able to hand out real awards, with a badge to go on the VIP Profile Page and everything... obviously the powers that be would have the right to veto badges and award schemes to ensure it kept safe, clean and legal... but it would be down to the Awarding VIP to pick winners for their Award...

What do you think? and if you could hand out your own Award to Absolute VIP's (including staff members of course, we dont want to stop Llia getting Awarded) what would your Award be for??

Ok i promised i'd be around more and then unexpectedly vanished again... but thats not my fault - i fully place the blame at the hands of my employer!

I got loaned to another section where i didnt have internet access, and couldn't get my daily fix :(

Even though the website has jumped the gun by a week, i have to say, i'm a little excited by the absolute branding...

the website is a lot cleaner, and seems a little classier now... and i have to say i like the purple!!

Still not 100% convinced by the name, but it's slowly growing on me... but well done to the web team for a very pretty re-design

CV

I am at the stage in my career where i get to create a CV, but with the benefit this time of it being years since i've had to, and no longer having teachers telling me how... and i'll be honest - im stuck

You see in my mind a cv should sell you, should make potential employers go "wow, i want to know more about this guy" - so i want to get it right...

I went on a CV writing website, and the resultant CV was very bland, had no depth, and i dont think quite cut it... but i dont know what im supposed to do to make it right...

oh well... i will learn! its an adventure!!
