Afternoon VIPs. So who's watched our new TV ads yet? The Absolute Radio revolution kicks off big time tonight when the first airing of Doug goes out on your telly boxes, so look out for them.

We've also just launched our new YouTube channel at
www.youtube.com/absoluteradio so any of you that are members of YouTube (and who isn't?) can subscribe to our feed, and comment on our vids. There will be loads more stuff from Doug up there too, in due time.

As a bit of a mini exclusive for you VIPs, we've just added Iain's new Web TV show to the website. Go and watch the first episode of Punch Drunk TV, and tell him what you think using the comments box below the video.

This week, Iain takes us on a tour around the Virgin Radio building, introduces us to some of the staff and shows us how to be a music DJ. He tries to track down true Rolling Stones fans at their ‘Shine a Light’ film premiere, interrogates his Celebrity Reporter and tests out the new generation of environmentally friendly transport on the public, with dire consequences.

Got a promotional copy of Elbow's new album today, which is great, even though I've already bought it from Amazon!

I'm listening to it while working on the new Virgin Radio homepage (keep an eye out next week for an exclusive beta release).

Anyway, back to the album... This band have been one of my faves since "Asleep In The Back" was released in 2001, I've loved every album since, and I couldn't wait for this one.

After a couple of listens, thrack three, "Mirrorball" is a standout, but it's all good if I'm honest, and Guy Garvey's voice is as sublime as ever.

If you haven't listened to this band, give them a go!

Rock Pilgrimages is back!

It's been a long time coming, but I'm pleased to say we have finally re-launched one of my favourite sections of the website - Rock Pilgrimages.

Some of the longer-serving VIPs among you might remember this feature from our old website. In fact, some of you might even have contributed to it.

For those of you that don't know what it is, Rock Pilgrimages is a fantastic directory of places that have been 'put on the map' by famous rock stars or musicians.

What makes it special is that Rock Pilgrimages allows you to share your personal stories, photos and experiences of these special locations with others. It even lets you submit new places that have not already been added to the directory.

In fact, when we put the original Rock Pilgrimages live, it was the first bit of truly interactive, user-generated content we had on the website, so in a way, it was the first step on the way to having these VIP profile pages!

Anyway as I say, it's back, and this time it's even bigger with more features. Rock Pilgrimages is now worldwide and includes some neat Google Maps information and the ability to love your favourite locations, among other things.

Where's my lounge gone?

That's a question I've seen pop up a fair few times over the last few weeks. It's leaving us all here rather confused as we can't see why this is happening.

The techie bods here would like to get to the bottom of the problem, so that all VIPs can enjoy all that personalised content.

To do this, I'd like to make a call for all VIPs who are having trouble accessing their lounge to email us using the contact form on the website: http://www.absoluteradio.co.uk/interact/contact_us/index.html?to=techies

Please give as much info as possible, such as whether you are using a Mac or PC, what browser you use etc.

Even if we can't replicate the problem at our end, hopefully all this info will help us work out what it is.
