I recently saw Hobo Jones & The Junkyard Dogs supporting the Levellers. They dedicated a song to our prime minister Gordon Brown that had the crowd singing along. It is one of those songs that makes you chuckle with irony when you hear it. It was a rendition of "Gordon is a moron", a song made famous by Jilted John. I have been playing Guitar hero III in the window of a Zavvi store, after watching kinds having fun on it and chasing them off it!

Has anyone played the PC version of the game? I fancy getting it – but is it as good on a PC?

Please help me to decide. I have just found a pack of sealed part baked baguettes. Do I cook them or not? The best before date is 17/01/08 however they look fine!Advice please asap.

A question once posed by Toyah Wilcox. Speaking of Toyah, I say her live a couple of years ago at a free summer festival at South Shields on Tyneside. I think it was the same year Midge Ure played. Ok many of us have not got tickets for V this year, but they are plenty of alternatives. Many big names of the past are still out there and are still putting on good shows. Likewise many of the little heard of people are also well worth a listen.

So who knows of good music events that we can still attend?

Good morning weekend VIP’s. What a lovely morning here in Newcastle – if you like grey damp, breezy mornings that is!

What have people got planned today?

Sundays are funny days for me I always intend to get up and out early, as some of you know I am a keen cyclist and my weekends often begin with a trip somewhere or other. I am not mad enough to go cycling when the weather is against me. Today looks like it will be a PC and TV day.

The Indigo Girls are an American folk rock duo, consisting of Amy Ray and Emily Saliers. Long established in the US with a huge back catalogue and a loyal following.
