I just came across the Foo Fighters' tour rider from 2000 on The Smoking Gun.

It appears that they are only prepared to share their dressing room with Supergrass, Oasis and maybe Led Zeppelin.

Also, Dave loves stinky cheese. Who knew?

Rediscovering Breaking Glass

Ever had an album that you've meant to get on CD but never got around to buying?

Breaking Glass was one of those for me.

I first saw the movie on TV in the mid-eighties and instantly loved it.

Too much derision from what I would call my Now That's What I Call Music school friends I bought the soundtrack on cassette from a second hand record store and played it until it wore through.

Around the same time I got my first walkman and many misty mornings and drizzly evenings were spent tapping away on the bus to Eighth Day, Big Brother, Who Needs It and Black Man.

Today I finally stumbled across the CD in the Virgin Megastore and have had it on constant rotation all afternoon.

Ah, the memories of that angry political sentiment that was so fresh to me as I started high school and began to see that you didn't have to passively accept everything you were told.

Best way to pick a Fantasy Football team

With our launch of Fantasy Football today we've all been encouraged to enter a team in an office league.

The problem is I don't know anything about football and don't want to embarrass myself.

What is the best way to assemble a team?

I've tried looking at lists of last season's best players but I can't afford all of them with the £55m budget.

One suggestion was to pick good defenders and strikers as that's where you win and loose the most points but can you ignore the midfield like that?

Help!!!

What a fab Tim Finn gig last night

To be honest I wasn't expecting much. I haven't really got into Tim's new album Imaginary Kingdom but the gig seemed like a good opportunity to get together with some Aussie and Kiwi mates.

Shepherd's Bush Empire was propably only two thirds full, the back bar wasn't open and no merchandise on sale so it seemed like quite an intimate gig.

Tim played a lot of his hits, including from his time in Crowded House and Split Enz.

The highlight came in the show's two encores. First Tim was joined my Miles Golding on violin, one of the original Split Enz members and then in the next song by his brother Neil. The crowd went nuts and bounced along as they seemed to relish being on stage together for the first time in ages.

Isle of Wight sold out without announcing the Sunday headliner

All 50,000 tickets for this year's Isle of Wight festival sold out in record time without the Sunday headliner being announced.

I've heard rumours which I obviously can't repeat but those with tickets should be very happy. I know Snow Patrol and Muse are big but if what I heard is true then Sunday will be BIG - one of the biggest EVER.

Loving this album from Go Home Productions.

Fourteen mash ups from him, Lou & Placido and others.

Personal favourite is Passenger Fever, mixing Iggy Pop and Peggy Lee.

Other top tracks for me are Horny As A Dandy (Mousse T vs Dandy Warhols), Franz Buffalo (Malcolm McLaren vs Franz Ferdinand) and Proper Education (Eric Prydz vs Pink Floyd).

Dug out this CD from 1991 recently and reminded myself how good Hunger Strike (track 3) and Wooden Jesus (track 7) are.
