1. You are at a bar or club and you suddenly realise you recognise someone. You can't figure out how and then it dawns on you... You have never met this person before, but have spent a considerable amount of time looking at their facebook!

2. After meeting someone your conversation somehow leads to - "So, are you on Facebook?�?

3. You do not call people anymore, you post comments and send messages through facebook.

4. You determine how cool people are by how many facebook pics they have.

5. When you're out with friends and you take a good picture you exclaim loudly, "That's going on Facebook!"

6. Conversations with friends tend to lead to, "Did you read that comment that she wrote on my wall?�?

7. You check your facebook as soon as you wake up, and right before you go to bed, including the 10 times you check it during the day.

8. You know exactly how many pictures people have, so when you see the number change, you get excited!!

9. You start off intending to check if you have new comments but find 2 HOUR LATER that you are still on and have no idea what you even accomplished during that time except stalk.

10. You find yourself laughing (sadly) and agreeing as you read these, and you know you're going to repost this for everyone else to see

With Facebook, you are one of four things:

1) You love it and spend most of your working day checking if anyone has added you or there are long lost friends who've decided now is a good time to say hi...or ...

2) You hate it - you have a complete phobia of Social Networking Sites and it brings you out in a hot sweat everytime Facebook is mentionied or ..

3) You just done understand it, you require further time to really see the actual benefits of social networking sites and you clearly have far more important things to deal with

4) Your a judge, who hasn't a * clue about the Internet.

I have a little story about MySpace which I shall share with the class later on, but if you've been living under a stone for the past few months, you'll notice a small (well big actually - yet simple) site has emerged from the darks of university life and made it mainstream. A bit like a trans. from University Radio to presenting on Virgin Radio in the evenings. (We can but hope - hey it happened to Philipha TJ (6Music Chart Show Presenter/Uni of Notts current student), so why not me? Haha)

Anyway, Facebook is clearly one of the world biggest waste of time (in a good way) and its slowly but surely taking over the world - more and more people are noticing its appeal and if you hate myspace - facebook is where all the cool kids hang out. With it general lack of bad html and with peace of mind thatit wont slow your computer down by 90% whilst 80 videos all try to load at the same time - you'll be pleased to know Facebook is a really neat little site.

Anyway - I have a little story - At the height of MySpace's popularity, I noticed that more and more 'famous ' people were jumping on the bandwagon and joining MySpace. Cool right? Hmm, maybe.

I notice that /chrismoyles wasnt up and running, so with a few well know details about said DJ I proceed to set up www.myspace.com/chrismoyles with a lovely picture of him. As a result of my general large amount of time on my hands, I in turn got a hell of lot of messages of "Dear Chris ... I love the show, i'm your biggest fan" etc etc,

Which was sweet, but then 1000s of people decided to add me as a friend which took a lot of time to accept each one. Anyway, Moyles caught wind of this and spoke about it live on his show that someone had set up a Moyles MySpace. I heard the link in Berlin and deleted it shortly afterwards. Someone else owns it now - but yeah claim to social networking fame.

Paris Hilton has her sentence half for turning up to court.

I heard on Radio 1 thats he has impressed the courts to the extent that they've decided to half her sentence, is that true? Forgive me I don't want to waste my time googling her.

Her Mother has recently started to say things - I don't think she's previously said anything at all! Someone has been saying that she'll become a role model to other young people to stop them from doing things. I don't know if anyone has actually realised byut it seems younger people have more sense than Paris Hilton.

Does this not strike you as wrong? If it was anybody else in America or the UK for that matter on a similar offence, they wouldnt have their sentence reduced for turning up?

Whats with all the tears and grief? She was stupid enough to go and what she did and get caught - she should do the right thing and stop moaning about it saying its unfair. Fair play to the judge for being so brave and not letting her off.

I'm sick of all these celebs who get "community service" and make good use of it by using it (and the media that foolishly follow and give them more press) as a fashion show as recently done.

If I could marry or make love to a Radio show - it would probably be The Geoff Show. I love this show so much!

For example do you remember your first gig or first kiss - well strangely I remember listening to The Geoff Show for the first time let one night. I was sat on my bedroom floor listening to my crappy cd player and it just captured me - since then i've listened to a lot of the shows.

I just like some of the features and some of the stories that talk about. Geoff seems a natural presenter for Virgin,

Radio 1, One Big Weekend in Preston

Some nice person at the Radio Academy has asked me to go along to One Big Weekend in Preston as a Guest. Granted I will send most of Saturday in a hall listening to lots of Radio types talk about Radio but still considering 500,000 people applied and they have started appearing on eBay. Grr

Then from 5pm the real fun begins where I get to see some wicked bands! Going back Sunday all day. Go backstage etc.

Cooking in the Danger Zone starts on BBC Two on Sunday. The first episode is about taboo foods in South Korea (where they're fond of eating dogs) and the arctic (where they're fond of eating baby seals)

Peter Kay is comedy god in my eyes. I absolutely adore this man - he's so funny and honest. I like someone who talks about their family with such tact and humour. The things he has said in his stand up, aren't crude, its very close to his heart and just the way he talks about it is great!

Its good how he's stayed within his roots, kept a clear head and not become a complete arse like so many other people that do stand-up. I won't name name's - they know who they are! I've got admit, I'm a fan of some of his shows as well, but when he's himself - he's at his best.

Recently, I finished reading his book which over Christmas hardly got put down, I'm going to read it again sometime - he talks about his past, rather more than his current work - like the stuff leading up to when he got really famous. Reading it, you can tell he experience so much and did so well when he was growing up. Some of this experiences have made it into his comedy shows etc like Phoenix night I can't tell you how many times I've watched it his live DVD which is always very good.

I was reading his book recently and he was talking about two of his friends who have a son. Basically he caught the parents explaining to their son that the security sensor in the corner of the room, when it switches is on, is meant to mean Father Christmas is looking at him to make sure he was good. He carries on explaining that everything the little lad walks past he smiles and waves up at the security sensor.

And watching the DVD, he was talking about having biscuits with your cup of tea. He said that Rich Tea should be renamed "One dips", because they fall about really quickly when you dip them in the tea. Hob Nobs on the other hand, are the SAS of the biscuit world. He was basically saying that they soak up all your tea and so on.. For those who have seen the live DVD, it carries on something like this: "DIP ME, DIP ME AGAIN!, AGAIN!, AGAIN! DIP ME!"

Lastly, are Peter Kay and Arthur (one of the sailors that was captured in iran waters) related ?

I was looking at Wiki, as you do, and was shocked to find out that Annabel from The Geoff Show is earmarked for deletion on Wiki for no reason.

Why? This is crazy! She's great. I reckon the nice chaps at Wiki have nothing better to do. Rubbish!
