So how are you all on this very pleasant March evening?

As I understand today is the first day of Spring. It is according to Twitter anyway.

So Happy Springday!

Now, a good friend of mine happened upon this very amusing picture earlier on. And you too will now have the pleasure of seeing it.

But first...

Picture the scene.

Your on holiday in Southern Europe. Italy or Spain etc.

And you decide to spend a few hours at the beach.

And guaranteed you will find an old lady with her knockers out!

But I have to say, this is something I have never seen, and I'm not too sure if I actually want to see it...

On February 3, 1959, a small-plane crash in Iowa, killed three American rock and roll musicians: Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and J. P. Richardson.

I was sitting, watching Andy Murrey playing his best tennis I've seen in a while at the Australian Open.

I looked down, it was an email!

It was from the University of Glamorgan.

And yes it was good news!

GUESS WHOSE NOW BEEN 100% ACCEPTED IN CARDIFF UNIVERSITY STARTING SEPTEMBER 2010?

GO ON! GUESS!

YES!

ME!

I must say I am so excited!

All I need now is a place to stay, and £3000. (Hint hint).

How hard can it be? (I'm sure I'm about to find out).

Well I thought its about time I did something and a spot of blogging seemed the right thing to do. Anyhow, there is a reason for all of this. This month I have my own magazine coming out, and I just wanted to tell you all so you can all go out and buy it!

Farewell Tim Shaw

Sadly, we’re announcing today that Tim Shaw is leaving Absolute Radio’s Friday and Saturday night schedule.

Tim has decided to take time away from Absolute Radio to prepare for the biggest challenge of his life, an event which Absolute Radio will be involved in – with more details to follow soon.

Over the last year Tim and the Absolution team have created some ground breaking, compelling and hilarious radio. From Georgina Baillie and her Satanic Sluts to ”Bird of Prey’ and ‘You’re banned’, the show has brought new personalities and a new audience to the station.

For me, Tim’s best work has been with some of the serious interviews which have taken place in the show. The recent series with D-Day veteran Norman Searle was some of the most powerful I’ve heard. They cut through amazingly well because they were such a contrast to the rest of the show, but demonstrated Tim’s versatility as a presenter and journalist.

Let us also not forget that during his first year with Absolute Radio, Tim won a well deserved Sony award to add to his already bulging awards cabinet. As well as saying great thanks to Tim, it is a great chance for us to congratulate other members of the team who’ve contributed so much – so thank you to Peta, Greg, Graeme and let us not forget the great foundations put in place by Roque and Eloise.

So for now Tim, thank you and good luck, we can’t wait to work with you again very soon.
