Last year on 28/12, a friend bought me a laptop. Very nice! The LT, though broke down within a couple of months and continued to give me gip all year. it went to the menders 4 times and I had to wipe it clean myself another 3 or 4 times. Anyhooooo, I took it back to Currys on Friday and told 'em I'd had enough. After 45 mins or so, they agreed my LT was a load of cr*p and told me I could have a new one! Excellent. As my Matt was with me, he chose the new one and I've ended up with a brill Sony Vaio. My sons said the difference is like going from a Ford Fiesta to an Audi TT (no offence to Fiesta owners!).

So, the upshot is I have now spent all weekend setting this one up and changing all my passwords, cos I forgot to wipe my favourites with all the automatic log-in pages!. (So, if you left me a shout or pm'd, me I'll get back to you soon.)

I couldn't believe Currys were so helpful about this, I was ready for a fight i didn't get! So gold star to them and yipeeee for me, I love my new LT!!

These past couple of days, I have come across several artist who very names make me cringe. I don't like 'em! I don't like their music, their vocals, their whole package. This is unusual as I am pretty easy going where music is concerned; I would say that of all the music styles out there, I like 80% odd of them. There are some though, some very few artists that I totally abhore, often for no reason I can put into words. The acts just make my gorge rise and my temper flare almost the instant I hear their 'music'. Sometimes, it's even worse when I actually do like a song they've recorded, then I get totally confused!! lol Anyhooooo, what I wish is that there was a 'Most Definately Don't Love' button to click on each artists page and then when they get airplay the station automatically recognises that you don't like that artist and turns the volume down or retunes (to a sister channel like Virgin Classic or Groove of course!). I'd pay for that! lol Below are a few of those unloved. (Can't believe I'm even gonna type their bloody names....lmao!) here goes then, in no particular order....

I've got a rotten cold, I've just come in from the shops (buying still more tissues; balsam, of course!) and now I find myself in need of warming up, 'cos it's cold out there. This last week I've had some ups and downs and I've been thoroughly feeling sorry for myself, but tonight my spirits were lifted. I have been watching the Sports Personality of The Year on the beeb. In an age where celebrity status can be easily attained by any old Tom, Dick or Harry for nothing more talented than either being a dumb blonde on big brother or marrying a either an ancient or screwed up celeb partner, it is refreshing to see people being honoured for dedication in their chosen field of sport. Each of those spoken to tonight were humble, patriotic and doggedly determined. They had fun too, not too proud to laugh at themselves. They made me feel proud to be English. Sure, a few of them live the celeb life, but footballers aside (lol) most are just regular Joe's, (like the newly crowned SPotY Joe Calzaggi) who all spoke honestly and candidly and moved me with their humanity and humility. Well done Joe; you and your fellow sportsmen have done our Country proud this year, on all fronts.

Good Morning my lovely VIP friends. Sorry I haven't replied to my shouts. I told a few peeps last week that I had broken my toe. Well, I hadn't.........apparently, it was my ankle!! (well, actually it was both! lol). I was hobbling around for 6 days before I finally fell again and ended up in hospital getting the bone reset (bloody big OUCH! lol) and a big telling off from the quack! Anyhooooo, I'm back home now and getting pampered by my lads. I hope you've all had a good weekend so far and I look forward to catching up with my pals soon. A firefighter is working on the engine outside the station when he notices little johnny next door in a little red wagon with little ladders hung off the side. The boy is wearing a firefighter's helmet and has the wagon tied to a dog and a cat.
The firefighter says, "Hey little partner, what are you doing?"

Little johnny says, "I'm pretending to be a fireman and this is my fire truck."

The firefighter walks over to take a closer look. That's sure is a nice fire truck," the firefighter says with admiration.

Thanks mister," johnny says.

The fire fighter looks a little closer and notices that johnny has tied the wagon to the dog's collar, and to the cat's testicles.

That looks a bit cruel, says the fire-fighter, surely, that's gotta hurt the cat?

The boy says, "You're probably right, mister, but then I wouldn't have a siren."

Two men are in a bar getting drunk. Suddenly one of them throws up all over himself.
He says "Oh, no. Now my wife will kill me".

His friend says "Don't worry. Just tuck a twenty dollar bill in your breast pocket and tell your wife that someone threw up on you and gave you twenty dollars for the dry cleaning bill".

So they stay for another couple of hours and get even drunker.

Eventually he reels home and his wife starts to give him a bad time.

"You reek of alcohol and you've thrown up all over yourself, my God you're disgusting" etc.

Speaking very carefully so as not to slur, he says, "Wait. It's not what you think. I only had one drink, but this man was sick on me. He'd obviously had one too many, or else he just couldn't hold his liquor. He was very sorry and he gave me twenty dollars for the cleaning bill. Look in my breast pocket."

She looks in his breast pocket and says, "But this is forty dollars".

"Ah, yes." says the man. "He pee'd in my trousers too".

I'm overwhelmed!
