It feels so good to be back but now I don't have anything to talk about. Not that I ever did before anyhow. LOL I sure did miss some of you though.

Oh hey, I am a new grandma. My daughter had a baby girl about 3 weeks ago. And as with all new grandma's I think she is the most beautiful baby I have ever seen. She is just perfect in every way.

Being a white woman in America who never had to face racism I just have a couple thoughts on our new President.

In the words of Martin Luther King, "Free at last, free at last, thank God Almighty free at last." We may not be completely free of racism but this is a mighty large step. And we are finally free of the terror and fear tactics of George Bush Jr, I really don't respect that man.

I worked hard for my country during this election. I had faith in Obama and continue to have faith in Obama. I knocked on doors, and broke my code of political silence at work. I spoke to people in line at the supermarket and every place else I went. This is a defining moment in our history and I couldn't be prouder of my country at this time and on this day. Now the hard work truely begins for us at home and I hope we raise to the challenge as the Americans we know we can be. I love my country and am so very proud to be one of so very many.

The damage George Bush has done to my country here at home and around the world has been a disgrace to me and so many others. And I want to say to all of those around the world even though our countries may not always agree, know that my country will always strive to do our best, that is who we are as a people. And I think by electing Barack Obama so many of us have found pride in ourselves and our country again. We can rise from the ashes of a failed administration and begin anew, that is one of the best things about my country.

People talk about Obama as some kind of larger than life being. I think that is a mistake, he is just man. But a man who has inspired this country and its people to want to become more than we have been and that is an amazing accomplishment. I truely hope he will again rise to the occasion and be one of the best Presidents this country has ever seen, one who inspires, works hard and encourages others to do the same. I really hope he is the one who can restore our standing in the international community. For many of us our loss of respect around the world has been tough to stomach because we so much want to be the bringers of peace and democracy. And even though our administration chose to go war, there were and are many of us who never agreed or wanted that war. I have faith that President Obama will do everything he can to end the war quickly and as safely as possible.

I have been doing a lot of political blogging here in the states. And frankly I need a break, I am sick of being called a communist because I support Barack Obama. It happened 32 times yesterday, I counted. LOL

How can I be a communist??? Lord, I am fed up with our election process here, its rude, mean and nasty. I have actually started thinking I should move to another country. Any idea's?

Also for those of you who live where there is universal healthcare I would really like your honest opinion on how well it functions and what kind of costs are involved. I have read about it but its never the same as a first hand account.

My country is fighting over universal healthcare right now and I am frankly undecided if that is the right way to go. However, our current healthcare system sucks so something needs to be done about it. Any opinions would be welcomed.

I can't believe I have my house all to myself for 5 days. My daughter went out of town and my grandson is at his dad's house. What will I do with myself????

Any suggestions? I have never had my home to myself, and I am excited but a little lost as to what to do with all this free space and time. hehe But I want to do something fun, so if there are idea's out there I am listening.

Hey is anybody having problem with their absolute player? I have been trying to listen all day and after about an hour it starts sounding like its skipping. Its driving me nuts because I love the music that played everyday. Is this a problem with the system or my computer?

A woman went into a pet store to buy her husband a pett for his birthday. After looking around, she found that all
the pets were very expensive. She told the clerk she
wanted to buy a pet, but she didn't want to spend a
fortune.

'Well,' said the clerk, 'I have a very large bullfrog.
They say it's been trained to give blow jobs!'
'Blow jobs?' the woman replied.

'It hasn't been proved but we've sold 30 of them this

When she explained froggy's ability to her husband, he was extremely skeptical and laughed it off. The woman went to bed happy, thinking she may never need to perform this act again.

downstairs to the kitchen, only to find her husband
and the frog reading cookbooks.

'What are you two doing at this hour?' she asked.

So I had my plans already to leave my husband and then he sideswiped them. He must have known it was coming because he started this positivity program that is focused on marriage and then he sat me down and talk to me for a long time asking me not to leave.

We made some changes and put a time line in place. If thing continue to improve in three months time we will will re-evaluate things then. I thought he was just talking a lot of crap but this was almost a month ago and he just keeps working really hard at our marraige and now I am finding myself softening towards him again.

I swear I don't get men, just when I think its over, totally over and I am sick of trying, he goes and changes things up on me and becomes human again.

Why can't men just be more like women? LOL At least then I would understand them........ Course I probably wouldn't like them so much then.......... what a double edge sword.........

I have decided to only listen to music today. Its the 7th annaversary of 9/11 and frankly I can't watch all that stuff anymore. I just want to yell at my country to get over it and move on, to stop looking back. It happened, there is nothing we can do about, and I am sick of watching all the video on it every year. Did the media do this with Pearl Harbour?

I am sick of the media's advancement of fear by showing the video over and over. Its sickening to think that the media just keeps this up for ratings and this being an election year it gets totally politicalized as well. Its disgusting........... I say leave those families alone and let them get on with thier lives.

I could use some good music recomendations form all you VIP'ers out there.

I have been so wrapped up on politics here in the U.S. that I haven't been able to keep up with things going on here.

Sounds crazy to say I love love love politics but I really do........... and have followed them for years like a rabid dog at times and right before an election is the worst for me.

So I really don't have anything to talk about......... except American politics............ Sorry everybody.

Its not nearly as cool a name as Virgin Radio, is it??? Oh well same great music, same great website. Guess we could think of Absolute as Absolute Vodka, the best party accessory??

Still miss the Virgin, though.
