Love Revue are in a competition with 1Click2Fame and they're in the TOP TEN. There is only today till 5pm to vote. Please please please register and vote. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!! Jason FINALLY got some airplay on Absolute Radio. I so love this radio station. They have to start playing Matchbox Twenty, Lifehouse and John Mayer for me to worship the station!!!!

Melee Are Great

I saw Melee last week at KCLSU in London and they were brilliant. I had a meet and greet as well and they are really down to earth, thoroughly bloody nice blokes!!!

Their set was brilliant and they performed with a lot of energy with some humour thrown in between songs!!

Their album Devils and Angels is brilliant and it's definitely one of my favourite albums of the year.

Go buy it!!!!

National Hospital Radio Awards

I was in Leeds this weekend at the National Hospital Radio Awards. I had been nominated in the best female presenter category.

Anyway, after a lot of nervous excitement I found out I won the Silver Award (2nd place). It's still very surreal but I can't express how happy I am.

One judge had made a comment that I should give up my day job and work in radio - so that's what I'm going to try to do!

All I can say is OH MY GOD!!! They were absolutely awesome.

Not only were Irwin's vocal totally perfect but the stage presence of the band and the fun they looked to be having on stage and with the audience was just brilliant!

You've got loads to look forward to if you're seeing them tonight or tomorrow night!!

Last night at iTunes Festival

I went to the 8th day of the iTunes Festival last night. It was a really good night of music.

The opening act was Dawn Kinnard - very odd but quite good in a weird sort of way!

Second act on was the reason I was there - the brilliant Jason Mraz - he's so amazing (even with a cold). New album out May 20th. If you've never heard of him check out his last 2 albums (Waiting For My Rocket To Come and Mr A-Z).

Last act on was Ron Sexsmith. He has a really nice voice and some of his songs were very good.

Air Studios was a fantastic venue.

Hello all

Two pieces of very good news!

Firstly, I've been nominated in the "Best Female Presenter" category for the National Hospital Radio Awards - the awards will be held in Leeds at the end of March.

Secondly, I'm doing a gig at one of the Barfly venues, which is a pretty big deal (you never know who might be there).

Tickets are on sale now (details of the gig are below) and you can receive details on how to book your ticket by emailing info@laurenrichmusic.co.uk. Tickets are priced at £4 each - there are a limited amount so get in there quickly!!!

Just wanted to give you an update on what I've been up to.

I will be re-mastering my EP on Monday afternoon and will hopefully have something more concrete on the MySpace page. You may not notice any difference as they only need a few tweaks but I'm a perfectionist!!
