Well, well well, what a dramatic and emotional end to the 2008 championship.

I knew it was going to be one of those races when the heavens opened just before the start, which then delayed the start by 10 mins. Once the race got underway, Lewis had to keep out of trouble in turns 1 & 2 on a very damp track. Thankfully, his teamate managed to protect him and he safely negotiated these turns. Then it was just a matter of maintaining his position, which he lost after changing onto dry tyres, but managed to gain back. It was all looking good, lewis was in 5th, the position he needed to win the title. Vettel was closing fast behind in 6th, but didn't really think he would try and pass Lewis. Then with about 10 laps to go, the dark rain clouds gathered, and the nail biteing began. The rain did come, and Lewis had no choice other than to come and change onto wet tyres, as did everyone else in the top 6 except Timo Glock. Lewis however seemed to be struggleing on the wet tyres, and with only one lap to go, Vettel managed to pass Lewis, which put him down to 6th, and out of contention for the championship. On the last lap, Lewis could not get anyhere near Vettel to pass him, and it looked like the championship had been lost for the second year in a row. Then as they approached the final two turns, 4th placed Timo Glock came into view. He had absolutely no grip on his dry tyres, and on the final bend, as Massa's family were celecrating his championship win, Lewis followed Vettel past Timo to regain 5th, and the 2008 drivers championship. WOW!!!!

Well done to Lewis & Mclaren, and you have to feel sorry for Massa, who was very dignified in loosing the championship, and had to go through the trophy presentation knowing he was so close to winning the title.

Well, after the excitement of the last few races, the Chinese GP wasn't exactly the greatest race in the world. Hamilton managed to get away from the start line this time, and lead to the finish line. Thanks to Kimi allowing his team mate to pass, Massa came home in second to give Hamilton a seven point lead for the last race in Brazil in a fortnight. Hamilton only needs to finish in fifth place to claim the drivers championship, and only he can throw it away.

Hi all, Well, as the red car of Kimi went past Hamilton of the start line, it seems the red mist decended inside hamiltons crash helmet!!!. He out braked himself at turn one, and was then himself spun out by title rival Massa on lap two. He did not need to pass any of the Ferrari's, all he had to do was finish one place behind Massa, but the racer inside of him took over, and he paid the price. His lead in the drivers championship is now down to 5 points, with two races left.

Hi all in Absolute radio land!! Well, the first F1 race at night under lights looked like it was going to be a run of the mill race, until the safety car came out, and the Ferrari pit crew lost the plot competely. After the last failure of their release system, you'd have thought they would have ditched it. Well they didn't, and its helped Hamilton to a strong championship lead with only three races to go.

You'll be pleased to know that after the Spa appeal was thrown out, the Spa results have been released, and are as follows:

Hi ya, first of all still no Spa scores, so it's obvious they are waiting for the appeal, which I believe is due to take place on Monday 22/09.

As for the Italian GP, the weather helped to bring us another exciting race, and the first race that I can remember being started behind the safety car. Many Many congrats to Vettel, who come home 1st, and as the youngest ever winner of a race. Hamilton managed some damage limitation after his qualifying cock up, by finishing immediately behind Massa, to lead the championship by a slender 1 point.

Hi all, just checked the McLaren site for the scores, and they have updated it yet!!! Guess they can only be waiting for the result of the appeal about Hamiltons penalty.

Finally got round to watching the race yesterday, and what a race, only to be spoiled by the Stewards. I guess we all have our own views on the penalty handed out to Hamilton. Personally I can't see he done anything thing wrong. He allowed Kimi to re take the lead as required by the rules. As far as I know, there is nothing in the rule book about overtaking on the next corner once you've given the position back.

We finally have a driver in F1 who has the balls to overtake and make the race something exciting to watch, and the authorities do what they can to knock him back.

I could go on ranting for ever about this, but I won't. suffice to say as soon as the scores are updated I will let you know.

It's the Italian race this weekend, and the final transfer window opens on Monday, so take advantage. I know I need to!!!!

Hi all, trust you've all had a good long weekend. Sunday saw the very first race at the new purposely built Valencia circuit. Unfortunately, it did not bring the wheel to wheel racing we hoped it would, but it did bring controversy during Massa's second pit stop, when he was released into the path of another driver when leaving his pit box. The resulting penalty, did not however effect the result which saw Massa win with Hamilton in second.

From what I have read it seems the race was all but Massa's with 3 laps to go when his engine blew. Well done to kovalainen on his first GP win.
