I am so disappointed. I thought the first single was going to be Nightrunner - a catchy enough tune featuring Justin Timberlake and Timbaland. In fact the first single is going to be a track called Falling Down.

Falling Down is - to say the very least - RUBBISH.

It sounds exactly like the Astronaut album. Except imagine the Astronaut album if it were released in 1990, and it wasn't Andy Taylor on guitar.

The verses just sound clumsy and there's a very annoying whiney keyboard going 'weewah, weewah' all through the weak, boring chorus. It could be a guitar. It's been synathised so much it's hard to tell.

Duran Duran: destined to be Falling Down the charts faster than The WTC crumbled on its release to radio date - aptly, September 11th.

I happened to be in Punk in Soho last night for the Poundland Dolls launch night. Really hot new band, The Electric City, were playing. Was instantly enraptured.

Whipped over to The Embassy after & caught Towers of London DJ set Where they played The Electric City single 'Sleeping With The Enemy' - it grew on me even more.

Then came to listen to Virgin Xtreme today and see they've been added to the playlist there. Definitely one to keep your eyes open for!

http://www.myspace.com/electriccitymusic
