there's been a small debate going on today about how great or not KT Tunstall and Amy Macdonald were on ITV's guilty pleasure programme on Saturday night but what's your guilt pleasure song?

Mine would have to be:

Hold the Line - Toto

Eye of the tiger - survivor

or Nothing's going to stop us now - starship

Old people should have to re-take their dirving test when they get to i dunno say 70?

I nearly had a hight speed carsh on the A23 on sunday afternoon because a stupid old cogger pulled straight out in front of me on the duel carrigeway when i was bomming along at 70. He was coming out of the car park to a pub or resraunt or something that leads straight out onto the road. I had a car overtaking me in the ouside lane so had to do an emergency stop. Luckily the road behind me was totally clear - which begs the question why didn't he just wait?

Despite the loud screech of my tyres, the flashing of lights and beeping of my horn (once i realised i'd manged to not hit him and was still alive) he seemed completly oblivious to the carnage he could have caused and tootled along at 30mph until the next junction.

While i was well impressed with my 100m skid mark down the road; locking my front wheel, jarring my back and putting a bald spot on my front left tyre are not my ideas of fun!

If you have a parent or relative who's getting on a bit and is a bit wobbly driving these days please take their car away before they kill someone.

Right long rant over, i'll just leave you with this:

you get given a free buss pass at 60 for a reason!

Congratulations you are now playing the game

the object of the game is to not think about the game

if you think about the game you lose and have to announce it to the room.

if there is anyone in the room who doesn't know how to play tell them

you now have a 20 minute grace period

good luck

Has anyone noticed that lent is actually 45 days long not the Biblical 40 days and 40 nights that Jesus was supposed to spend in the dessert. I suppose that's the price we pay for Christian festivals attempting to fit to a previously Pagan callenda.

Anyway 40/ 45 it's the same difference it's still a long time to go without whatever people have chosen to give up. as a student i used to give up Alcohol and fopund myself eating more chocolate, so the next year i gave up chocolate, i found myself eating more biscuits, last year i thought i was being quite hardcore by giving up chocolate, sweets, biscuits, pudding and sugar in my tea.

This year i'm going for the ultimate challenge: on top of the chocolate, pudding etc... i'm also giving up my other great food love...CHEESE. I think it's going to be the harder half of the sacrifice.

I wouldn't say i was your bible bashing sort of Christian, nor do i expect the whole world to follow my belief but i wondered how many people do still observe lent in some form or other. And if others of you are sitting there thinking 'oh no only 2 days in how am i going to last' maybe we can support each other.

Hidi Hi VIP-ers

Tomorrow is my Birthday and although at 24 i should probably be having a classy adult party i'm opting for more of a childrens party games and excess of chocolate event. Pass the parcel and chocolate fountains are already prepaired.

i'm interested to know what your favorite party games were when you were a kid, especially if they involve chocolate. And if anyone has good suggestions of what to dip in the chocolate fountain (not rude ones, i've had plenty of those)
