Absolute Radio: Discover real music

Brilliant! Silly of me in a way to be so pleased, cos I've got the CD, but somehow one's favourite music always sounds better on the radio. Wonder why that is? Answers on a postcard please ;-)

I agree with ELO there, it does sound kind of different on radio. My hubby's a fan, and this one was my favourite

Unless you've got digital radio, and even then, radio can't compare to home equipment for music by Floyd. The base just can't come through as it must. But DSotM is always appreciated around here, and your decision to play it in full shows me that you really "get it". Plus anyone who can get their dog to stay on a table for three hours is all right by me...

Haha that's so funny the way you put that about the dog on the table! I don't even know how that started, I think in the old studios there wasn't much room on the floor for her.. As for hearing album on radio, songs often sound bigger due to the processing everything goes through compressors etc. But also, it's the fact that everyone is hearing it at the same time as you, it makes it more special

Classic album! And something special about hearing it on the radio- even if it's online(like for me)!

Can't wait to hear it. Absolutely adore Floyd in any form. This is what makes Virgin Radio the best radio station out there.
