I hope all is well with all of you. Remember that contest I was part of with winning that Duran Duran vinyl? Well, I did win. I won first place followed by another winner. I guess they made it fair for two people to win. But I'm happy I did and I'm just waiting anxiously till it gets here. I got an email saying it hasn't been shipped out. Now that's kinda rude. But as soon as I get it, I'll post it up. :)

Hi everyone! Hope all is well with all of you and your loved ones. = )

I'm doing fine...just working alot of days and different hours..the usual. = (

The reason I'm here is because I started a petition for Duran Duran. It's about getting them to get nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Cheers Friends of Mine! Hope all of you are doing well! As for me, been sick with a terrible cold. My voice is nearly gone, and well, things aren't looking so good for health. Another birthday passed for me. As of September 20th, I am now 35 years old! WOOOHOOO! And still don't look it as I've been told! (*WINK* *WINK*) I celebrated it at the hospital. My son was very ill and was hospitalized for four days. Knock on wood, he's doing much better now! = )

Well, I just want to say, no, I haven't forgotten about this site. All of you have been kind to me, which I must say, I really admire. And I thank each of you for that wonderful personality each of you have. Thanks to those who have voted for my site. I'm up to 172 votes now and almost in first place in the Duran Duran Top 50 Sites. You can continue to vote if you haven't done so. There's no due date in when submissions have to be done by. = ) So, it's all good!

Other than that, my site's doing rather well these days. Not much member activity being that the band is on holiday for a few more weeks til the touring starts and it ends in December. You are more than welcome to join as always. Door's always open for those lovely fans out there! = ) We kinda gave it a new change in layout, added a shoutbox, and a playlist. We added, deleted, and moved sections. Come see yourself and let me know what you think. = ) Feedbacks are always appreciated!

Hey everyone!

Guess who's back? Hope all is well with all of you. As for me, same ol same ol. Just trying to register for a school here and on top of that join a gym. Birthday's coming up so I gotta look good...lol. J/K

My son starts school next week and need to start to work on my waking up in the mornings. Oh dear...that's gonna be fun.

Been working on my site and making changes here and there that's why I haven't come here in a while. Y'all might as well join there so I don't have lose touch with any of you. All of you have been really nice to me and I can't thank you enough for those brilliant personalities each one of you have.

I have a site dedicated to the band and it's former/current members. I'm inviting all the Duranies to come on by and join if you're up for the fun in being part of another great fan community!

Our news updated when released from the band's site or from magazine/newspaper articles. Same with pictures!

We try to keep the sections flowing as much as possible!

We have a 80s corner so if anyone has interest in the 80s, yes, we have a tribute to musicians, tv shows, etc.

Then we have a trivia section that includes everything related to Duran Duran, Arcadia, Power Station, etc.

Just be yourself like you are here and everyone will love ya for it! Especially me being the owner of the site.

Work & Favortism

How many go through this? I've been working at this supermarket(food shopping center) for over a year and they still treat me like dirt. I tried to report it to the union, but still nothing helps. I used to work 6 days a week. Now they dropped my days to 3. All the new people get 5 or 6. I'm like hello...I'm seniority!

Should I:

A-Stick around

B-Move on to another job

C-Go to school full time and just work the 3 days

Opinions are mostly appreciated! = )

Thank you everyone at the station for making me VIP of the day last week! Can you believe I didn't find out till the next day that I was awarded with this? I was away on holiday with my son for a few days with limited computer access and couldn't check my mail till that following day. I saw how everyone was congratulating me and would like to thank all of them for the lovely messages! Thanks everyone! As for those who are my friends list, thanks for being on it. : )

Well, I'm back home and well, time to look into school now for Nursing. Wish me luck! : )

This picture I places as a avatar, was taken two years ago. John was here in the U.S. promoting for Juicy Mens and the Peavey Guitar he designed. I didn't find out till a few days before. Of course I had to work that night, but went late cause I was so thrilled that this would be my only chance to meet him face to face. The only catch was, you had to buy something from Juicy to meet and get signed. So, I bought something and being that I was 3 hours early, I went for dinner, and walked around the mall(gallery of stores) to kill time.

Finally when I went back, they were started to put the ropes up where everyone had to stand. I was very fortunate and was the third person in line to get signed. I couldn't believe that he was there. In front of me, sitting behind a table. At one point before he sat down, we made eye contact and he gave me that big grin that all the John Taylor girls love seeing. I nearly passed out cause he was so incredibly cute!

When it was turn to get signed, I had the butterflies in my stomache, and my hand was just shaking. All, I can say is, the man was very sweet and in a great mood! He had a hell of a sense of humor that's for sure. I had a picture that I had won on EBay that was a sketched drawing of his face. He was very pleased to see it. When I had told him I had won it on EBay, he said with a shocked face, "EBay? Really?" I almost fainted right there and then. I just love the accent. I can't deny it! I love the way he talks!

But he signed it, gave me some guitar pics, and thanked me for coming. So, now I have that signed, plus the Juicy shirt, and I feel like I'm still in a bliss from that night.
