Something, something... And so forth.

Yeah just dropping in. Through a hole in ceiling to AbsoluteRadio.co.uk. They gotta get that skylight fixed =]

I know I haven't been as active as before, but this is what I warned you all of before. Remember, back at the end of August, I told you I was going back to school... no? Well I'm working at full capacity at this current point in temporal existance. Firing on all cylinders, if you will.

I got parents evening soon (Which seems ridiculous. I'm almost 18, why the hell should my parents have to know how I'm getting on?) so I wanna get a good report for once in my life... And I'm actually on target for it. That, meine freunde, can only be a good thing.

Anyway, I better get back to my Biology. In what can only be described as a strange sentence, I'm actually enjoying learning about HIV. The virus is very intresting to study. I know most people think I'm insane, but you know... whatever. I don't care =]

Right, till next time, folks...

Stay awesome, y'all!

Yeah just dropping in to remind you I'm still here, and I haven't died, or been assimilated, or eaten by a Sarlaac...

Just been super busy with all my school stuff, and life stuff...

But yep. Eventually I'l make a proper post.

Heroes rules.

Stay awesome, y'all!

Part One: The Big Bang
In the beginning, there was nothing. Zilch. Nada. Of course, this was slightly boring, and so these things (which of course, didn’t exist) said (or didn’t) “Hey, I know, let’s explode!” So they did. Or didn’t. Depends on how you see it. Anyway, (assuming they did) this was called the Big Bang, and everything came out of this one point in a big explosion. This was a massive explosion. I mean obviously, it was actually exploding the universe, so it was less of an explosion, and more of large expanding. So this created the universe. Apparently, its still growing, which doesn’t make much sense, because once something explodes, or expands, it doesn’t keep expanding until it has to come back. Honestly... scientists… Anyway, where was I…? Oh yeah the universe had just been created, so there was a place for people to live.

Now the origins of the Earth is supposed to be something involving gravity and swirling dust clouds, but here’s how I’m pretty sure it really happened;

There was this whopping great particle of fire, inventively called a Whoppingreatfireparticle, and what happened is all these Mudli particles (which is like a hard mud that floats sort of thing) were drawn around it, because otherwise we’d have no world to live in (and, more importantly, this history would be fairly short) and the Earth was made. I think. Can’t be sure, I wasn’t there, but apparently it did.

So, the earth was this big lump of mud in space. But where are the seas I here you cry. Well someone sure is impatient... But what happened, is that these Mudli particles where all jammed in tightly next to this whoppinggreatfireparticle, so they were all getting really hot, and they all started sweating, and lo, the seas are formed. And if you’re asking “But why isn’t the whole world covered in water then?” it’s because the Mudli that were higher up sweated less coz they were further from the whoppinggreatfireparticle. That’s science, that is.

So let’s see. We got land and sea. Next up was green stuff. Plants. Now, Mudli particles are actually “living”. I say “living” because they can’t talk, or walk, or make pizza, but they’re alive in the same way as, for example, Walt Disney. Technically alive, but doesn’t do a lot. So as they remained there, all stuck together, their “hair” started growing. I say “hair” because it is actually greenery. Plant life. Plants and trees and grass and all things similar. So, over a period of 79 years, 10 months, 1 week and 5 days, Earth gained plants.

Contrary to popular belief, the earth is not a sphere. It’s more of oblong spheroid, but it is so small, you don’t even notice. However, Mudli particles are incredible sensitive to changes in temperature, and so if you go north or south for a long enough time, you’ll reach a line called the Arctic, if you gone north, or the Antarctic, if you’ve gone south, Circle. This is coz the Mudli are all so cold they froze. If these are the other way round, you’ve got the map upside down.

So there we go. One completed Earth, with only two missing pieces. At this stage, Earth was empty. Nothing on it. Like Bluewater on a Tuesday Morning. So what comes next? Well, life. And that’s where things get interesting...

Okay, so I wrote this like AAAAGES ago, but recently re-wrote some bits, and finished it off, which could be why it doesn't flow too well.... Anyway, hope you liked it! Tomorrow, it'll be a regular blog again, but eventually I'll finish "Part Two; First Life"!

Stay awesome, y'all!

That's me, by the way. Eddie. I'm the Sellotape Avenger. Hello =]

So, today was Wednesday, and as I do most Wednesdays, I went to school. Average day. Boris Johnson came to visit our new sports centre, which was cool. Good old BoJo =]

Also today, I heard a live version of Violet Hill, which was cool. I heard it four times, and it got better everytime. Should probably point out it wasn't actually Coldplay, just some mates of mine =]

I also "became" a "DJ"... But more on that in a few months...

Outside of school, Pizza Hut is changing its name! Que pasa? What? I bet they don't. Name changes are always a... bad... idea... Kinda dug myself a hole here... Of course, I kid.

On the topic of Absolute, our teacher put it on the PC today for us to listen to, which was awesomenes on a screen.

AND. I have a foible to point out. If you have a look at your lounge and have any news stories that is Absolute Radio content, take a gander at the little icon to the left of the title... IT'S A VR STAR! OMG MEGA LOLZ EPIC WIN! Random, I know.

SO that concludes the round up of today's stories. If you didn't happen to read the blog/review I did yesterday, please read it... Took me ruddy ages =]

Tomorrow, get ready for...

A Rough History of the World...

So the other Friday, I went to the O2 to see the last smash hit Hollywood hit, "The Dark Knight". The O2 is a killer venue by the way. Really cool atmosphere, has loadsa restraunts and stuff. But I'm getting off the point.

So TDK is the sequel to Batman Begins. If you didn't see it, it was that Batman film where nothing happened until the last ten minutes, and you left feeling that the movie hadn't ended properly. TDK has all the same actors, minus one, and plus a few more. If that made sense.

This Batman film casts the Joker as the main villain, which makes sense what with him being Batman's arch-enemy, yadda-yadda-yadda. I wasn't sure about the character of the Joker. Not the acting, but the actual design of the Joker. As a bit of a comic buff, I'd imagined the Joker was more... bothered about his appearance. In this film, it looked like he'd put his make-up on, then stood in the shower. I'm pretty sure it gets worse through the film.

So yeah the story revolves around the mob, and the Joker's vendetta against Batman, and Bruce Wayne, and Harvey Dent cleaning up the city, and Gary Oldman being the only uncorrupt cop in the city, and Racheal Whatsherface being weird, and few other things. If that's sounds confusing, it's cause it is. I mean, it's not SUPER confusing, but you never really know which character to follow. Or to like. Or not to like. Basically what I'm saying is that the plot is confusing considering that it was written, adapted and directed by the same bloke.

The main talking point of this story is the fact that Heath Ledger was AMAZING as the Joker. Now I don't want to offend anyone too much, but if he hadn't have died, would you be saying that? Yes, he was good, but so was Aaron Eckhart. So was Christian Bale. So was Gary Oldman. So was Maggie... Actually, she wasn't she was rubbish. Katie Holmes was much better. But the point remains that Heath was just as good as everyone else. Give the man an Oscar, but not for this film. For like good acting altogether.

This film had lots of special effects. Lots of 'em, probably cause the budget was like a thousand million dollars or something like that.

Troo Fakt; There are more explosions in TDK than actors =]

But seriously, if they needed to rename this film, they could call it "Exploding Buildings" or "When Stuff Goes BOOM!". Clearly someone enjoyed working in the pyrotechnics department.

So overall, yeah. The Dark Knight is by no means a bad film. The main problem is that it drags on for way too long. Everytime you think it's the end, there's more. 2 hours, 45 minutes. Could have been about half that and still been fairly good.

So final conclusion; Not bad, not great. 7 out of 10 tops.

All this aside, the film becomes totally awesome for about 10 seconds with a sequence involving the Batpod, a truck, some cables, some lamposts, a wall and lots of speed. That's worth the ticket price, really.

This concludes my review of The Dark Knight. Tune in tomorrow for another exciting episode of...

Lava-Lamp Bamboo : The Early Years!

Nope, gonna take more than a trip up to East Anglia to finish this cat... sorry nufc, this monkey off =]

So yeah, that's were I was over the weekend. Up near Norwich, checking out the University of East Anglia. Because I can, and also coz I blindly applied there. It's my highest choice, coz I need ABB to get there... Which is a tough one for myself... But whatever doode =]

So yeah, UEA. University of Extreme Acronyms, as they have one for everything. But if you haven't been there, which I'm guessing the majority of you haven't, it's very much a 60's building. Everything is concrete, and if it isn't, it's that brown glass you lot were so keen on in the sixties. Although that joke makes little sense, since most of the people on here wouldn't have been old enough to design buildings in the sixties. Meh.

More to the point, UEA. It was... okay. The Biology course looked okay, but the accomodation was not good. One was built like a prison, the other had a shoddy kitchen but MASSIVE rooms. I mean massive for a uni. Of course.

If I'm honest with you, I'm not even that sure about going to Uni. I mean yeah, it'd be genius to have a degree in summat, and have the letters after my name, but it's three years of hard graft. And requires a load of independent thought... That, and you're expected to be really social and I'm not a social person... Believe it or not =] So yeah, I may not go to uni. Might do that course in Radio Production at Lambeth College. And I'm not even joking, for once.

In other radio related stuff, I've recently started to listen to radio stuff on iPlayer. And by stuff I mean The Alan Davies show and Chriss Addison's Civilisation. But the point is, I'm listening to "radio plays", as I believe they are called. How's that for broadening my horizons, eh?

I went to see The Dark Knight t'other day. I would get into it today, but I'm gonna save it for tomorrow's blogtastic blog. My fun-time review of The Dark Knight A.K.A I Like Exploding Buildings. Probably not one for the fanboys and girls out there =]

D'ya think my blogs are too long? I mean this one is currently 401 words long up to this full stop. Should I make them shorter? Is anyone still reading this? Why am I asking these retorical questions? Why can I not spell "rhetorical"?

Find out answers to these questions, and a few more, in the next exciting episode of...

LAVA-LAMP BAMBOO takes on the world!

Also, ellie_elaine is back.

So there I was walking down the street to get some SPANISH METAL, when I realised I had to NEVER MISS A BEAT. There was a problem though as I LIKE IT TOO MUCH. I said to the man YOU WANT HISTORY? and he said "What?" and I said I CAN'T SAY WHAT I MEAN.

Well basically, there are GOOD DAYS BAD DAYS and some days you just feel like a TOMATO IN THE RAIN. But let's face it, that's only HALF THE TRUTH, but you know how it is, it ALWAYS HAPPENS LIKE THAT. Suddenly you are ADDICTED TO DRUGS, and then you REMEMBER YOU'RE A GIRL....

GIve it a week or two and this'll suddenly become clearer ;]

Till then, stay awesome, y'all!

As you may know, ellie_elaine is currently ill, after having collapsed the other day whilst working. In my opinion, she is one of the best VIPers on the site, and always has something nice to say to everyone.

It would be amazing if we could all put nice comments for her for when she gets back, or send her nice messages. If you are feeling particularly kind, you could donate some kudos to her, to keep her at the top level, which shes deserves as a top person =] You can get to her profile through this handy link;

http://www.absoluteradio.co.uk/vip/profile/ellie_elaine

Anyway, get well soon, Elaine, and stay awesome!

Yeah, cause this morning's one was a little rushed, mainly because I wanted to be the first =]

But I'm listening to Geoff's new show! Nelson read the sports! Annabel read the traffic! Geoff... well Geoff just said some random stuff, but give him a chance, and just let him work out stuff... Geoff-a-nory for example...

Also I've had 1000 views. Which is awesome. Thanks to you all, you are all cool!

Anyway, stay awesome, y'all!

So this is it. Sunday the 28th of September. This is the last full day of Virgin Radio. And it's been a good ride while it laster, all 15 years for it. Well it's only been about 2 and a half years for me but I'm being sentimental here!

So yes, Virgin is becoming Absolute. Absolutely, and all other jokes in a similar vein =]

Even though I'm sure this will be lost in a million and one other "Goodbye Virgin" blogs, I'd like to give my little tribute.

Virgin, you gave me some great music, great talk, you introduced me to Geoff, and you made me appreciate the awesome-ness of radio. Thank you... *sniff*

Well then, now that Virgin is done, let's all celebrate Absolute! 15 more years! Keep on a-rocking! New horizons and the like!

Stay awesome, y'all!

Right, hitting the ground running here...
Went to see Russel Howard yesterday at the Orchard theatre. He was hilarious and told some brilliant jokes, and responded incredibly well to a heckler in the audience. Take that, random person!

I've been away from the site today because I've been working on my Biology coursework... 2000 words on the subject of barnacles, which I'm sure is enough to drive anyone insane. Fortunately, I had cab fare back from Insanity, so I'm set =]

I'm running a bit of an X-Files marathon at the moment. Watched... five episodes today, on my sixth now. Subject of the current episode; Anti-Semitism and Jews returning from the dead. Which sounds kinda like the story of Jesus, but it isn't. Modern day stuff.

Anyway, I'm all done for today. Bit rushed cause I'm trying to watch TV... STUPID FIREWORKS! I'M TRYING TO WATCH X-FILES! It's not even near Firework Night...

Anyway, stay awesome y'all!

So, last night was the last ever Geoff Show, and I would like ot say I listened to the entire thing, but I didn't.

Lousy human body, needing sleep and making me miss the last fifteen minutes, only to wake up again at FIVE past one... So, yeah I fell asleep. I've got the podcast, but I'm not going to listen to it until Sunday evening, just because.

On the plus side I got my "I am" read out on the last ever Big I Am, plus it was the featured one if you will. The last one Annabel will ever read out... So there =]

Also, have you seen the new Geoff show page? If not here is a handy link;

http://www.absoluteradio.co.uk/djs_shows/shows/geoff/sketch.html

I love this pictures to pieces. It's awesomeness on a screen. Now I'm wondering what the Hometime Show will entail, and how the general public will handle it. I know me and the rest of the Wider Symposium will be listening intently, but how will the "Average Absolute Radio Listener" handle it? I guess time will tell!

Well, I'm done with this blog-tastic blog-athon. I'm goiing to see Russel Howard in under 2 hours, which will be awesome, so I will tell you about it when I get back. Probably. But I'll be on until about 6.30. Ish.

In the meantime, stay awesome, y'all!
