Hi, everybody!

I'm back again to show you some of the most important festivals that will be held in Spain in the next few months:

Last year, I talked about the FIB, but now I've decided to go a bit further and show you a tiny sample of some of the most interesting Spanish festivals.

If you are thinking of visiting Madrid or Barcelona you could go to the Summercase. This year has great line-up: Blondie, Kaiser Chiefs, Kings Of Leon, Interpol, Maximo Park, Primal Scream, The Verve, Sex Pistols, The Kooks, Biffy Clyro and many more.

For the first time Rock in Rio will take place in Madrid. 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die

Maybe you know this book. In case you don't, it consists of a list of albums released between 1955 and 2005.

There is a site where you can listen to many of those albums for free. The good thing is that they are full songs (not 30 second clips).

I warn you. Quite a few albums are not available. So I hope you enjoy the ones you can actually listen to.

Hi !!!!! I've found a site where you can listen to some indie/alternative rock spanish bands for free.

Personally, I like Nothink, but there are a few others. Most of them sing in english (but again, they're spanish. I leave up to you to decide whether their pronunciation reaches an acceptable level) :)

I know. There are many bands like these in UK and US but once more I just wanted to show that here there are more styles apart from flamenco, sevillanas, etc.

Back from Egypt!

Hi again!!

I've finally retuned from this trip. It was great and I had a lot of fun. I also studied a little bit. I would have wanted to study more but I was soooooo tired that could hardly keep my eyes open.

We had to get up really early (4:00 a.m.) several days because at 11:00 the sun and heat are utterly unbearable!! I was quite lucky though because November is a very good month to go there (we even had a few cloudy days ay Cairo!).

I visited: Luxor, Edfu, Kom Ombo, Aswan and Cairo. I would have liked to go to Alexandria but I didn't have time. It was a shame.

There were things I didn't like, of course. And it's also a bit expensive (I'll eat just bread and water for the next 2 months). But, in general, it was worth the visit.

Anyway, I just wanted you to know that I'm back and ready to chat with all of you again!! Cheers!! :)

Trip to Egypt

Hi everybody!!!

From tomorrow to the 12th of November (from monday to monday) I'll go on a cruise in the Nile.

Some of you already knew it, but I wanted to tell it to the rest of VIP's. If I don't reply to any shout in a week, that's the reason.

Maybe I'm lucky again and the hotel or the cruise have free internet access for guests!!!

I'll miss 5 days of classes (which means that an incredible amount of work will be waiting for me when I come back), but I'll try not to think about it and enjoy the trip as much as I can!

That's right! No more coming and going. Usually I don't complain about having 3 months of holidays, but such a long time without internet has been a torture!!!!!

Anyway, I'm finally back and I'll be able to talk to all of you again (not 1 or 2 shouts, I mean LOOOONG conversations).

For those of you who are interested, I'm glad to announce that I've passed ALL my exams!!! This may seem like it's nothing but it's a HUGE achievement.

After a month of boredom, study, tiredness and more boredom, I delighted to inform you that I'm FREEEEEE!!!!!

I know that many of you have been waiting eagerly for this announcement.

But I'm afraid I have bad news. Tomorrow I'll go to my country house and I still don't have internet there. I don't know when I'll be able to connect again.

Life's so unfair!! Now that I have time to chat with you as much as I want, I can't!! :(

I promise I'll have internet as soon as possible. Please, don't stop posting shouts! I love to read them, and I promise again that I'll reply them all immediately!!!

Why not to study 2 degrees at the the same time

Hi! This time I'm not going to promote my beautiful country. Instead, I decided to explain why do I complain so much about my degrees.

I want you to warn you, now that I'm still sane. In very few years I'll have to make a reservation in a mental hospital. I've seen the effects this thing has on people (a teacher that studied the same sings often Eurovision songs while he explains different ways of murdering).

I imagine what you all think when you hear me saying:" I hate this so much!", "Tomorrow I have a statistics exam", "I must analize a Criminal Law case". This girl is exaggerating. We've all had to study and it wasn't that bad. That's why I want to show you what I have to study. If anyone had a worse degree, please, tell me! I need to hear it.

The subjects are in spanish but I found the structure in english.

Hi again!!!

I felt so great when I found out that I was VIPOTD! And it was even better when I saw all the shouts you were sending me. I tried to reply all, and I think that in the end I managed to do it!

I would also like to thank all of you who have added me as a friend. That has enabled me to reach the Top 10!!! (Something that, to be honest, I never thought could happen!)

It won't last long, though. I have exams until July so I won't be able to chat too much and I'll soon lose my PIndex.

The best festival in Spain

Hi! I've come back and once again I'll use this blog to promote Spain.

This time I'll talk about the FIB (Festival Internacional de Benicàssim). It's in my opinion the best festival in Spain and probably one of the best in Europe.

Here are some of the artists of this year's line up:

Amy Winehouse, Arctic Monkeys, Dinosaur Jr., The Hives, Iggy & The Stooges, Kings of Leon, Klaxons, The Magic Numbers, Muse, Ok Go, Rufus Wainwright...

Why spanish shouldn't be spanish.

Hi again! I don't think that anybody else cares about what I'm going to say but, anyway, here I go!

If you don't mind I'm going to use this blog to spread the opinion that I (and many other people) have about spanish being called spanish.

The reason I say this, is the same for which you say english instead of british. Apart from english you have welsh, scottish and irish. As simple as that.

In Spain there isn't just one language. There are a lot more: catalan, basque, galician... The one wrongly called spanish is the castilian. In fact, in Barcelona, if you say something in "spanish" you may find people who refuse to answer you back in the same language (it has happened to me).

Of course, there are people who think differently but, as I've already said, this is just my opinion. (I hope I didn't bore you too much.) Cheers!

To celebrate that my profile has reached 2000 views, I'm going to inaugurate the blog (I don't think I'll update it frequently but anyway...).

As the subject of the post says "I want to add Within Temptation to my list". I've tried several times to add them but for some strange reason they don't let me.

I honestly don't know why. There many other bands of the same style that have been admitted such as Evanesence or Nightwish (which I also like).

If any administrator reads this I would really appreciate it if he added this band to the list of artists (and if you could play their music that would be fantastic!). P.S. They have a new album so that would be a good excuse.
