hi all, hope you are all having a great weekend, I was thinking about some of my favourite songs, what they mean to me and why, in some songs its a particular lyric that means something, so here's mine

Bon Jovi(Of course) - It's my life - Its my life, it's now or never, I ain't gonna live forever.

The reason - Everything I did was to please others, I had a life that was heavily controlled by other people, this song and this line made me realise i needed to start living for myself, I was just existing and this song made me choose to live again.

Maybe a little deep or even corny, but I owe the life i now lead to this song and the lyrics from it.

What's your lyric of choice and why?

Hi all

Just thought I'd let you know I'm back from my holiday (and glad to be), my sister's wedding went great, hopefully I'll add some pics next week.

However, it was the most difficult holiday i've ever had, two weeks of doing nothing - and I really mean nothing - I was in the middle of nowhere, the nearest house was 4 miles away! and I was surrounded by fields - did have some nice walks though, and before the wedding going the hairdressers was the most exiting and adventurous thing to do. While many would relish the opportunity to literally do nothing for two weeks, I found it very hard. You can only read so many books! Has anyone else ever had this kind of experience?

okay i'm probably a bit behind with this - but Bret seems like a really nice guy, why on earth would he do a show like this? - I couldn't see him struggling to find someone special, i saw this programme for the first time last night, a lot of bitchy women in one house all competing for the same guy! - Must be a man's heaven having all these women fighting over him.

I haven't really listened to much Springsteen (Actually I probably have and not realised it, I tend to like songs rather than follow bands) But anyway, I heard him on the radio the other day, loved it, and wondered what would be the best album of his to buy - can you recommend the ones you like and what you think would be the best for me to buy as a starting point.

Hi all,

I wanted to know if anyone else out there has been reading / read the Hamsters Autobio?

I love watching Top Gear, mainly for the banter and the challenges that they do - and of course the Stig! (Personally I think the Top Gear team should be in charge of running the country with Jeremy Clarkson as PM :) )

Back to the book - I'm reading it at the moment, and it's just brilliant - It's had me laughing, crying, laughing again. My heart really goes out to this guy and his family, even just reading it I can sense how in love they are, the book is so well written and really from the heart, I was up until 3.30am reading it this morning, before realising I had to put it down as I had to be up for work just 2 1/2 hrs later.

Does anyone else have an opinon?

Okay all - I need some help and my first thought was my friends at VR!

My sister has asked me to plan her Hen night for her. Its on 23rd August and I need some ideas. We are having an Angels and Devils theme which is all fine, but I need ideas for entertainment and games.

Here's the problem - My sister is T-Total (due to medical reasons not because she is boring) - so that rules out drinking games, strippers / kissograms etc have also been ruled out. So all ideas will be greatly welcomed.

Hi all, I saw a blog on here about the most popular wedding songs and although I have no intention on ever getting married (once heard a phrase - Marriage is an institution and i'm too young to be in an institution) - not that I'm against marriage, it's just not for me. Anyway back to the subject in hand, I was wondering what the most unusual wedding song you've heard or have you had something a bit unusual played at your wedding? - My sister gets married in October and they are having a song played called Evergreen (Sorry can't remember who it's by).

Giving Blood

How many of you out there actually do give blood on a regular basis?

I gave for the first time 4 years ago - my newly born cousin had 4 holes in his heart and at a few months old had to endure open heart surgery - it was this that made me decide I needed to do my bit. Despite having a severe needle phobia for over 16 years, I had to do it and thought it would be a good way to help myself too. The first time was very daunting and yes due to my phobia I did have a panic attack, but I still went through with it. Each time I have been since it has gotten easier and although the I still panic a little each time I go I think of the people I am helping.

Why write this Blog? Well I recently donated my 10th pint, and while receiving my award I was told each pint can help up to 4 people - Thats potentially 40 People whose lives i've helped saved! - How great is that - okay so when you go it may take an hour out of your day - 4 times a year at most - and you may feel a bit tired afterwards - but think of all those lives you are helping to save!

My cousin is 6 now and doing really well - but he had to have a transfussion during his operation and without the person that took the time to donate - he wouldn't be here now.

So Please please please - just take a little time and do your bit too - it maybe you or someone you care about that needs help next time! - What does a pint mean and an hour out your day mean compared with saving a life?

What a day! - This is the best concert I have been to yet - Was in the standing area right up at the gold circle fence - fantastic view. I have to say I thought Stuart Mac Rocked - Good luck to him. - Biffy Clyro - Not that fussed on them. But the main event - these guys were on top form! - Richie and Jon really rocked the stadium! - In fact it's now Monday morning and I am still on a high! - Will upload some of my pics when I found out how to do it!

Did anyone else go on the Friday?
