I should probably clarify that I'm talking about American football, and I'm not going to go on about it, only to say that my team, the Seattle Seahawks won! Yay!

In other sport news, Congrats to England for beating the US in their Rugby WC match on Saturday. We don't get the games broadcasted here in the states, but my university's rugby coach is the manager for the US team, so I caught bits of the match on the internet to see how they did. Trust me, it did not come as a shock that we lost. Wonder why :-p

As this is my last weekend at home before I head back to university, my mom made a fancy Sunday lunch of turkey with all the trimmings, but I think my favorite part was the new recipe I tried out for the dessert. We have tons and tons of blackberries growing all over the yard and down the road, so my brother and I went out and picked several mixing bowls full, and I made a southern style Blackberry Cobbler which was absolutely fantastic. If anyone wants the recipe, let me know!!

Hope you all had wonderful weekends!

PS. If anyone is looking for a quick and delicious and healthy lunch, I tried this recipe yesterday and it was really nice!

Beet-and-Apple Soup
Simmer 6 peeled and cut-up medium beets, 1 onion, cut up, and 1 garlic clove in 4 cups unsweetened apple juice 25 minutes; puree in a blender. Add 3 Tablespoon fresh lemon juice. Swirl each serving with 1 Tablespoon sour cream (for a healthy option, opt for non-fat). Season to taste with salt and pepper.

PPS. I figured out the avatar thing, but it's a different picture, I was goofing around in photobooth on my Macbook at the time. It isn't that good of a picture but it will do for now until I can figure out how to upload something better.

I've had a VIP profile on this site for ages, actually, I do believe I've had one since 2003/2004, but I could be wrong on that. Anyway, I discovered Virgin Radio through iTunes quite by accident one night when I was writing a paper and looking for something new to listen to. This was back in the day when Pete and Geoff did the breakfast show, which quickly became one of my favorite programs, though I do enjoy Christian now, he's great to listen to when I need a break from homework (though it *is* weird getting morning news bullitens at 11pm... Gotta love the eight hour time difference!) I absolutely love the Geoff show (I get it via podcast since it airs in the middle of the afternoon here, and I'm in class) and I really miss Al Murray's sunday show, as I found him hilarious as well.
Anyway, enough rambling. I hope to become a bit more active on here now that I've figured it out. The only thing is that I tried to add a bunch of my favorite artists, only to discover they weren't on the Virgin artist list. Must be that they're kind of obscure American bands I suppose. Anyone from the UK heard of Anberlin, Brand new, Cobra Starship, Brandi Carlile, or Acceptance? ;-)

Cheers!

Ps. I tried to add my facebook profile picture as my "avatar" on here, but apparently the file is too small?Since I have no idea how to resize pictures in iPhoto, the virgin logo may be up for a while, sorry.
