Ok even though the other company offered me $1000.00 more in the end, my office with windows and chatting with you wonderful people all day.........way out ways it....

The position I have now is less stressfull and afterall I did end up with a $7000 per year raise this week :) not too bad :)

I really feel like I made the right choice! Thanks everybody for all your support and advice it really did help!

ESP willie :) I can't give up the windows man!!!

Well after giving my notice it seems they want to keep me really bad and offered me tons more money to stay here :((((((( so now im waiting to hear back from the other place........

This should be a happy time but its getting a little stressful for me honestly :(

I will let you know if I stay or go lol

After reading over all your ideas and much thinking........I am taking the new job!!! I am very excited about the change and know that my purse will be as well!!

Advice Needed

Im not sure what to do at the moment?? Last year I left a job with a local home care company because they sold out and layed most people off.

Today, a year later the company they sold to is wanting me to come back and work for them, making triple my salary and full benfits the day I start. I do like the people from that company and was happy with everything when I left, they just got rid of certin positions.......

The problem is I love my current job very much, they can come close to the offer but not match it :( Im scared even though they assure me that they won't that the new company will lay off again. The money is very appealing to me.......I don't know what to do:((

The new place would be in an office with no windows, were now I have like 6.

Both places are ok that I have a nose ring, so no problems there......(it's an office managers job)

Im not sure what to do???

The owner of a new departmental store called his new salesmen and told " Always remember that the customer is very important. He is the king. You have to explain patiently whatever he asks and please remember 'Whatever he says is Right'."
All the salesmen went to their allotted departments. The owner was observing them through TV. Excepting one salesman all were doing good business. He called that salesman in the evening and scolded him " I have been watching you. Though many customers came you have not been able to sell even a single item. Why"
The salesman replied, " Sir, I have been following your instructions very carefully. Whenever a customer comes, I explain him the details of the product, it's special features and clarify all his doubts. In the end they comment that the price of the product is very high. I remember your words and tell them promptly "You are Right" and they leave!"

I have missed all of you soooooooooo very much! Most of you know that at the end of last year I left a very bad and abusive relationship!

You will be glad to know that I didn't go back! Things are way better than they have ever been! I out and about on my own! I got a better paying position within my company! And found someone who is head over heels in love with me :)

I have missed you all bunches......I hope you remember me (I had the rockin cat on my avatar lol)

Have a HOLIDAY EATING TIPS

1. Avoid carrot sticks. Anyone who puts carrots on a holiday buffet
table knows nothing of the Christmas spirit. In fact, if you see
carrots, leave immediately. Go next door, where they're serving rum
balls.

2. Drink as much eggnog as you can. And quickly. It's rare. You can't
find it any other time of year but now. So drink up! Who cares that it
has 10,000 calories in every sip? It's not as if you're going to turn
into an eggnog-alcoholic or something. It's a treat. Enjoy it. Have
one for me. Have two. It's later than you think. It's Christmas!

3. If something comes with gravy, use it. That's the whole point of
gravy. Gravy does not stand alone. Pour it on. Make a volcano out of
your mashed potatoes. Fill it with gravy. Eat the volcano. Repeat.

4. As for mashed potatoes, always ask if they're made with skim milk
or whole milk. If it's skim, pass. Why bother? It's like buying a
sports car with an automatic transmission.

5. Do not have a snack before going to a party in an effort to control
your eating. The whole point of going to a Christmas party is to eat
other people's food for free. Lots of it. Hello?

6. Under no circumstances should you exercise between now and New
Year's. You can do that in January when you have nothing else to do.
This is the time for long naps, which you'll need after circling the
buffet table while carrying a 10-pound plate of food and that vat of
eggnog.</P

7. If you come across something really good at a buffet table, like
frosted Christmas cookies in the shape and size of Santa, position
yourself near them and don't budge. Have as many as you can before
becoming the center of attention. They're like a beautiful pair of
shoes. If you leave them behind, you're never going to see them again.

8. Same for pies. Apple. Pumpkin. Mincemeat. Have a slice of each. Or
if you don't like mincemeat, have two apples and one pumpkin. Always
have three. When else do you get to have more than one dessert? Labor
Day?

9. Did someone mention fruitcake? Granted, it's loaded with the
mandatory celebratory calories, but avoid it at all cost. I mean, have
some standards.

10. One final tip: If you don't feel terrible when you leave the party
or get up from the table, you haven't been paying attention. Re-read
tips; start over, but hurry, January is just around the corner.

Remember this motto to live by:

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather
to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, body thoroughly used up,
totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

WARNING!!!

THIS HAPPEN TO ME JUST LAST NIGHT!!! PLEASE READ AND BE CAREFUL!

Kevin's dad fell yesterday on my way home from work and broke his shoulder, so I went home and changed and of course he got to the hospital before I did. Well by the time I got there it was already dark (6pm ish).

So I pull into the parking lot of the Hospital and I see this lady and she sees me, vagrant looking individual, anyways I watch her because I notice she is looking at me strange, and she is following my car as I find a parking spot??? I check my doors, locked as always as it is the first thing I do when I get in a car, (Kevin makes fun of me for this but not after last night)

So I park my car, and get my cell phone out, I just had a that feeling something was not right, I look up and she is at my drivers door between my car and this white truck (tight space) I could not get my door opened if I wanted to, and trust me I did not want to.

She starts banging on my window, "Hey look," she says "sweetie, honey Im not gonna hurt you" I yelled at her, "what do you want???" she gives me a story about how she is homeless and her kids are cold and she asked me for some money to get kerosene, (im thinking if your homeless how do you have a kerosene heater anyways besides the point my window was not going down) I tell her no and to go away, she stands there, by this time im calling Kevin, please come help me with this lady!!!! I guess she hears me because she takes off in a run??

I look up and see Kevin with a cop coming down the hill. The cop asked me what she looked like, I said she was a white female, taller than me, im 5, 4 and a little on the heavy side, mid to late 40's.

He looks a me for a minute, and then at Kevin, he asked me if I could ride around with him for a little bit, umm ok, I thought was strange but, as I was riding around in the cop car, the office tells me that this lady is the one they have been looking for who did a purse snatching in that area 2 nights ago!!!!!!

He said that I did the right thing and that if I hadn't done what I did she probably would have robbed me!!!! Ladies please be careful when you are out and about, this really scared me and has made me more cautious!!
