Tim Lichfield
Since he was a wee nipper Tim has always been a character. He was born and raised in Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands way back in the days of dodgy barnets and spandex, otherwise known as 1981.
Tim quickly got into the radio scene by visiting local radio road shows as a young lad. He fondly recalls seeing radio presenters on creaky stages attached to trucks doing their thing at bonfire events.
The next step along the way was cheering up the patients and staff by doing stints on hospital radio. By the age of 16 he became program controller of an RSL station (Restricted Service Licence, which is basically a DIY radio station), presenting the morning breakfast show also.
While Tim was still as school he approached BRMB in Birmingham for work experience and ended up staying on, impressing the bigwigs with a demo tape he made. They offered him an on air gig that very same week. He became a producer as well as presenting his own shows.
Capital saw the skills and ambition of the man that would later become called 'Tiger Tim' (no we are not sure why either!) and invited him up to the dazzling lights of London.
Since making the move he has gone from strength to strength, shifting into television such as hosting Quizmania on late night ITV, dealing with viewers with dubiously slurred words calling in to answer questions. He was also offered the job of hosting a shopping channel.
However, the pinnacle of his career besides moving to One Golden Square has to be taking part in Chantelle's Dream Dates (the ex Big Brother contestant who was apparently 'living the dream') and winning the whole ruddy thing!
Tim has a loyal following of fans, who have dedicated fansites to his friendly comic style. We're all sure his following will grow with his time here.
