Absolute Radio 60s tells the story of one of the most respected composers in the history of popular music. The genius that is Brian Wilson tells the story of his early beginnings playing Gershwin on the piano, to his breakdown during the recording of Smile, that shelved the original album until now. The album is about to be released for the very first time since it's recording in 1966/7. Hear the trials and tribulations of a unique life and his subsequent return to the spotlight.

The programme will be followed by a playback of the mythical Smile album, now released from original master tapes, for the first time in 2011. Find out more
