Week 32 Pun Street Planning Committee Meeting

The committee began by continuing discussions on  what to call a cake shop that Liz in Buckinghamshire is hoping to set up. The best pun the committee had come up with to date was Danielle's Cake Me Up Before You Go-Go, but Mike emailed in suggesting Dough You Really Want To Hurt Me. The committee concluded that this name made more reference to the baking industry than that of the cake, and so they moved on to discuss Cakey Bakey Tart  from Guy Mearns. The committee immediately deemed this application a strong contender as every word in the title is relevant to the type of business, and with that the committee recommended Cakey Bakey Tart over Cake Me Up Before You Go-Go as a worthy name for Liz's cake shop.

The next application came from Dave, who informed the committee of a plumbing company in York called All Cisterns Go. There was minimal discussion amongst the committee who unanimously agreed it deserved a place on Pun Street.

Jeff Hebert submitted the latest application for a skip hiring company on Pun Street with Battleskips, when not too long ago the application for Skips Ahoy was dismissed. Whilst Dave and Martin liked this pun, Danielle wasn't overly keen on it, but came round to agree that it should be granted permission as there is an absence of a skip hiring company on Pun Street. The next application was Lofts In Space, and under the same reasoning that it was the first loft conversion company on Pun Street, it was granted access.

The last application of the meeting was from Lynne, who wanted to rival current portaloo company WC Infield with Chemi-Kazi. It was described as the best head-to-head yet, but due to its reference to unsavoury conflict with man, it was with regret that it had to be dismissed.
