David Cameron on Absolute Radio
So, a quiet show then. David Cameron came on for the second time this year. I have tried to get Gordon Brown on the show loads of times this year, but nothing. David's people said he had half hour free this morning and liked the chat we did earlier this year so I thought why not? Plus whatever you think of the party he will most probably be our next Prime Minister.
As soon as he came in this morning it was clear he was really relaxed and because of that the interview flew by. Everyone is talking about it and this is what I think about the whole thing. He spoke really well and I thought he answered all the questions really well. Now, onto the swear words. He said “pissed” in the context of the british public being fed up with MPs. We agree was the overwhelming reaction from the listeners this morning. The reaction was immediate. It was the sound of people leaping out of morning slumbers. If you were listening you will remember it for a long time!
Most importantly to me, it was someone trying to engage people about politics and the decisions we make in life.
As for his comments about Twitter. It’s a one liner Jimmy Carr would have been proud of and so far, I haven't had any complaints about his language other than from a gbrown1099@hotmail.com
Update! Even the normally po-faced BBC have been commentating on the story..
