The VISA London 2012 Handover Party
On Sunday 24 August, the last day of the Beijing Olympic Games, London 2012 is hosting a free concert in The Mall to celebrate the moment London becomes the official host city for the summer Olympic Games.
The Visa London 2012 Party will be attended by 40,000 people, with musical acts such as
The Feeling, Katherine Jenkins,
McFly,
Scouting for Girls, Will Young,
James Morrison and Il Divo performing on a specially-built stage in the shadow of Buckingham Palace.
There will also be over 30 screens across the country which will carry live footage and highlights from the Games in Beijing, as well as live coverage of the closing ceremony and Mall concert.
