A three floor flat above a bicycle shop, owned by Joe Meek that was converted into a studio. Meek, known as the Telstar man after the The Tornados 1962 hit, became depressed and shot himself in 1967. edit

As the plaque outside says: Joe Meek, record producer - The Telstar Man - pioneer of sound recording technology, lived, worked and died here. And he murdered his landlady here too.
