The most famous residence of The Beatles' company Apple Corps, used as their HQ from 1968 to 1972. The band gave their famous roof-top gig here on 30th January 1969 and held many meetings here that led to their greatest projects and their eventual demise. When the band sold the building in 1976, John and Yoko had the front door shipped to New York where it was housed in their Dakota apartment. The same door was also photographed and appeared on the back cover of Ringo's Rotogravure album.

The site of The Beatles' last live appearance - on top of the building, which was then Apple Records. These days, by the way, it's the Council of Mortgage Lenders.
