This old tube station is no longer in public use (it closed in September 1994). It is now used for filming and music videos, such as 'Firestarter' by The Prodigy and 'Waste A Moment' by FightStar. edit

The above picture from 1935 isn't, of course, what it looks like now. London's Transport Museum contains a load more information, and the chance for you to drive a tube train. If you're looking for it now, the canopy has gone, and it says "Strand Station", which was the original name.

A disused tube station, Aldwych is regularly used for filming - and, in particular, has been used in two pop videos - The Prodigy's 'Firestarter', and Everlast's 'Black Jesus'. The Prodigy threw lots of bits of shiny foil about in the tunnel (which are still there), while Everlast threw lots of feathers around (which aren't).
