The Clash did warm up sessions and preparation here for the album 'London Calling' in 1979, which used to be at 36 Causton Street. Many of the Vanilla recordings were lost on the tube. edit

Come out of Pimlico station & head towards the Tate stopping in Causton Street and the back of Random house,the location of Vanilla studios.25 years ago The Clash holed up in this anonymous rehearsal space at the back of a garage to create their masterpiece London Calling.Bring a football and have a kickabout in the playground opposite just as Joe,Mick,Paul & Topper did as a band bonding session every afternoon all those years ago.
