By Roman standards, Pompeii's amphitheater was quite small, it was built in about 80 BC. The legendary band Pink Floyd performed in the amphitheater in october 1971 and released Live at Pompeii. edit

wow! Pompeii is a magnificent place, it can't be any better combination than Pink Floyd's music and the most beautiful place I've been to.
