This unassuming house was a meeting point for 70s rock stars such as Black Sabbath and The Move. Hard rock group Bedlam was founded here with Cozy Powell, Dave and Dennis Ball and Frank Aiello. edit
It's hard to imagine that this house in the quiet Birmingham suburb of Sutton Coldfield was once at the heart of the Midlands rock scene in the late 60s and 70s. A scene that included the likes of Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and The Move. It was home to Frank Aiello, Dave and Dennis Ball, and Cozy Powell. The fact that the house produced Hard Rock band, Bedlam, only tells a part of the story. Various band members of Black Sabbath and The Move would pop over looking for musicians to jam with, and Robert Plant would pop over for a chat in John Bonham's Jaguar. "We used to jam in the billiards room of the house in Rectory Road, all fighting for space" said Denny Ball.
