In 1973, while a Nottingham Forest player Martin came to a function at my local pub. The day after I was going to see the Who at Trentham Gardens, Stoke. It was to be the first ever airing of a new work by Townshend called "Quadrophenia" I had a spare ticket and asked Martin if he wanted it.
