Frankly if someone she didn't know got near enough to her to be punched they were probably at least harassing her. I note that the press surrounding the case spends as much time telling us about the 'pretty brunette' victim's burlesque career as about Amy so I expect someone saw a way of getting a bit of publicity (and probably cash) via Winehouse's infamy.
