So sad, my feelings are that the song in not exactly similar to Joe S. song and sorry if they did copy it what a great #1 hit they have made.UMMMMM, shame on me. BUT, I just don't believe Colddplay copied them. They have hundreds of songs that people put on the net of Artists and compare their music and I suppose if ya look long enough lots of them sound alike, go figure. Joe S has sold more albums worlwide, been around alot longer and made probably alot more money then coldplay anyway so i very much doubt it's about the money.

I don't think Coldplay deliberately ripped Satch off, but there is significant similarities between the songs. Chris Martin probably caught a bit of the riff on the radio/ at home (he did apparently mention Joe Satriani in a 2002 interview so he knows who he is) and sub-conciously incorporated into his song. Whether you have heard of Joe Satriani or like his music, he is a respected musician and teacher who has been around a lot longer (at least 20 years) than Coldplay. Think he should be given
