Bombay Bicycle Club
by Duncan Welsh
An Absolute Radio listener.
When I found my favourite new band Bombay Bicycle Club were playing in Edinburgh I couldn't of been more excited, but then I realized it was Over 18s and I was 13 at the time
I decided I would try my luck at emailing the band through myspace and just asking if they could come out and maybe get a photo or sign something. A couple of days later I got reply from singer Jack saying he would definately do it and gave me his mobile number to text him on the day....
The day came and I text him, It was a nervous few hours waiting for a response but finally he replied saying he had 2 AAA passes that would get us into the gig. So that night we drove to Edinburgh....
We arrived to meet Jack just sitting outside the venue waiting to give us the passes. He gave us them and we tried to get in... Unfortunately they didn't work and we were stuck outside the venue. He said he would just get his guitar and play for us in their small transit tour van instead. So 5 minutes later me and my friend were sat in there van with Jack playing their tracks acoustically by himself.
To have one of your heroes just sitting in front of you playing his songs for just You, was one of the best moments of my life and one I will never forget!
