Nine Inch Nails

Recently a friend of mine was at Sonisphere festival, he took a friend to see Nine Inch Nails with him, his friend was going to leave early to see their favourite band, he ended up staying for the whole set and at the end, shook my friends hand and thanked him for the experience. I feel that sums up the NIN live experience.

I have seen NIN twice, Reading Festival 2007 and in London this year. Both were breathtaking experiences. It is hard to express just how amazing NIN was live. The two live shows I have seen by them have been different and special in their own ways but have still been far better than any other show I have seen.

The first time I saw them it was on a huge festival stage, where the visuals and energy in the performance were far beyond anything I had formerly experienced. Seeing Trent Reznor play ‘Hurt’ mostly solo just on a piano was beautiful, almost bringing tears to my eyes. After seeing this set, it felt like I never needed to see another band again in my life.
