The BPI, the UK's record labels body, have announced their choice for the 2009 Critics' Choice Award. Florence and The Machine are the winners of the 2009 BRITs Critics' Choice Award, with Little Boots and White Lies coming second and third place. The BPI have unveiled the recipient of the prestigious Outstanding Contribution to Music Award. Pioneering British Dance duo, Pet Shop Boys, will be awarded with the revered trophy at The BRIT Awards with MasterCard 2009 on Wednesday 18 February.
