American singer Tori Amos is set to play a free, intimate date in London next month.
Tori Amos came to fame in the 90s, as the mainstream began to realise that women, too, could craft wonderful songs. Sat at her piano, the singer's material spoke of a life as a modern woman earning acclaim and huge success.
A stunning songsmith in her own right, Tori Amos has also begun to craft emotive re-workings of other people's material. The 2001 collection 'Strange Little Girls' contained only songs relating to women, subverting the meaning of each.
Now Tori Amos is ready to return to the concept album. Forthcoming release 'Midwinter Graces' is a festive collection, containing some iconic Christmas tracks re-worked alongside original material.
Due for release later this year, the singer is already hard at work finishing her new fully original album. 'The Light Princess' is set to be released next year, and marks another step for the now fully independent singer.
Having recent completed the 'Sinful Attraction' tour Tori Amos is set to return to Britain later this year for a very special one off show.
Performing for free in London's Jazz Cafe venue, the singer will appear solo with a piano. Open to wristband holders, fans can get wristbands from HMV's flagship store on Oxford Street on the morning of the show.
Tori Amos is due to release 'Midwinter Graces' on November 16th. The singer has confirmed the following show:
