What was your favourite Lizzy concert?

Thin Lizzy have often been described as the best live act ever. What memories do you have of Lizzy gigs? and what was your favourite? I was lucky enough to see them in Dublin and at Reading in 1977 but my favourite venue was the old Appolo Theatre in Glasgow where the balcony literally moved under your feet, scary but fun. It would be good to hear others memories of Lizzy gigs.

Well done getting into quality music at an early age. Was that a fairly wild festival where alot of acts had bottles thrown at them on stage?

Only had the pleasure of seeing Lizzy once on the Renegade tour in the Glasgow Appollo, I have seen so many bands in concert and nothing compares to the atmosphere. The old Appollo was a brilliant venue for live bands, loads of rock artists recorded live there.

I saw Thin Lizzy at Milton Keynes Bowl in 1981. The bowl was (unusually) only a third full and people lit bonfires to keep warm!!! At one point I wondered over to the front of the stage and watched Phil play whiskey in a bottle right in front of me - I stood in awe and shouted along with everyone else to play it again; sadly he never took us up on our offer! (I was in police uniform at the time...!)
