Absolute Radio: Discover real music

Hey Terry! Hope you're fine! I thought we were living in a democratic Country!! I'm a fan of Mr. Robbie Williams even if I don't like ALL of his music. As it happens for most singers and bands, their music isn't always lovely and it all depends on the taste one has for music anyway. So here comes the democratic "bit" again!! If most people voted to hear Robbie Williams' song, then let it be!! They have the right to listen to him on air on their favourite Radio as much as any other singer/band. No offence meant of course, just thought to post my humble opinion.

I think the song is undeniably Robbie Williams and I think carrying out any poll like this leaves yourself open to the fans voting in favour of the song being played. I like AR and have been a keen listener for 2 years now, I think we need to add new music and not sure what the song was or the artist (not helpful I know) but the song sounded alot like Take That although I know it wasn't.....I still really enjoyed the song. I admit to being a cheese fan, but also enjoy classics.....but how many artists once classed as flash in the pans or of their time are now considered classic's. there';s no yes or no answer, if robbie doesn't fall into your ida of what you want to play don't play him! will Cheryl Cole's solo single be played on AR given the following she has I'm sure you's find a votre in favour of playing it.

Well my vote's a big fat holy mother of a NO! There's a few artists played on AR that I don't like, but that's what musical taste is all about... so this isn't about me just wanting what I like to be played. Robbie's stuff just doesn't fit, and If they start playing that then more of the same is likely to follow... and it's the slippery slope to naff local radio. (In terms of the song itself... it's awful. Almost as if a spotty teenager has recorded it whilst nobbing about in their bedroom). As they say in Wigan... GERRIMOFF!

Thank you for the comments both Gio and Sam, If people genuinely want This played then albeit! I will have no objection. But to come to a radio station just to vote on their favourite artist then never come back and actually listen to it is beyond me! As far as I am concerned they have ruined it for the rest of us if this is the case! I just wanted to know IF the actual listeners of AR really want this on or not! I will bow down gracefully if the answer is yes!

I voted NO on the AR website - and like you, p*ssed off that they are going to play it - but hey ho, cannae be helped. I hope they don't start playing any other crap stuff like spice girls etc

Thank you Terry! I get your point and I agree with you that everyone who voted should be a regular listener on AR! I apologise cause I really thought just VIPs could vote!! AR most of the times meets my tastes in music, but I thought that listening to the new Robbie Williams' song, being a fan would be nice.... if they don't keep playing it a hundred times a day that is!! ;-) Have a great day!
