WWRY -The Musical

Hi folks, I'd like to know if you've seen the smash-hit musical "We Will Rock You" which is in its 6th year now in Britain .... If so, what's your opinion? I saw it back in 2006 at the Dominion Theatre in London and I loved it. I've also listened to the CD of Spanish version and it sounds great. I know it was a big success anywhere it was scheduled. I do hope it will reach Italy one day !!!

Yes, I know about the Toronto production. I've heard the German version is great, too. The nice thing about this musical is that there isn't just one "script" ...but, apart from the songs of course, there's a different adaptation for every country and also the original English script is always updated! The more I talk about it, the more I feel like catching the next plane and come over to London to see it again :-) !!

I would love to see the show at the Dominion Theatre, but getting the time to go is a problem with work. i did get to see a local amateur production at a theatre near to my home and even though they weren't proffessional actors i've gotta say that it was the best show i've ever seen! it was also the only show at that theatre that sold out at the venue everynight of its run - we know this because we tried to get tickets to see it again and found that they had all gone. its a fantastic show and i'd Definitely go again! ;~}

The good news is that the show will be touring Britain next year. As you can see, searching the web, you find this intersting piece of news coming from Brian's website www.brianmay.com : "The touring production of We Will Rock You opens at Manchester’s Palace Theatre mid-March for a twelve week season. It will then transfer to play Sunderland Empire, Birmingham Hippodrome, Bristol Hippodrome, and ends 2009 with ten weeks at Edinburgh Playhouse commencing early November."
