If you've heard a song on your airwaves which is a little reminiscent of The Killers, then you might have cottoned on to one of the freshest British talents. This is One Night Only.

Hailing from the picturesque town of Helmsley in Yorkshire, the five youngsters have crafted a wonderful anthem in 'Just For Tonight' - something that wasn't lost on the director of E4 show Nearly Famous. The song was featured as the title song.


Frontman George Craig who, amazingly, will still be just 17 years old when the band's debut album Started A Fire hits record stores and he says The Killers are "not a massive influence but I'm sure we probably take a lot of the same influences."

"Our music is the kind of music that should only be in big venues. We write big music and big melodies - it's just the type of musicians that we are."

He lists his influences as David Bowie, The Cure and Bob Dylan among others, thanks to his dad and his brother who introduced him to that music at an early age.

None of the band are over the age of 20 and Craig himself is the youngest, but insists that he's only the youngest in age - not maturity. Judging by his music taste, he certainly is wise beyond his years.

One Night Only have been together for five years now, since Craig was 12, and they seem like they're the best of friends. It comes across as he speaks and you can see it when they play together.

The band has been busy playing for the past year, supporting the rising talents of The Enemy and The Pigeon Detectives. If they play their cards right, they'll find that bands are supporting them this time next year.
